    I too would like to see how you start and stop your threads. Love to see Smokey with you. I too am a cat lover. Today I am away from my stitching, but when I get home, because of your incentive I’m going to stitch right after I start my washing machine!! You give me such incentive to keep my stitching going. I’ve been stitching for about 50+ years off and on. I did a piece for a girlfriend of mine and believe it or not she still has it hanging in her bathroom, probably for at least the last 30+ years! Never realized how my stitching impacted someone. Look forward to each and everyone of your videos. Happy stitching.

    Put a clear plastic hole protector on the back of the holes in your little cards to keep them from becoming damaged. They are really pretty.

    Your advent animals look awesome! I’m really enjoying watching your progress on Beartime Stories. That’s a great idea to color complete the color with the most stitches because you can really see the outline of the bear. I’m tempted to join you in February on the Jardin Privé spring piece…

    I just love the variety of your projects and your enthusiasm, Sarah! Thanks so much. (Watching your videos a bit late because of having been out of the country for a couple of weeks.)

    Amazing progress on E fairy.
    Good idea to move the finished advents out of the travel bag.
    I got a few finishes and have started scratching the new start itch. I've decided to hold 1 in reserve for the new years new start. And of course, the new projects always seem to keep using the same floss as every project already in progress.
    I really need to pull the full coverage back out, but I just keep not.
    May you have a needle made out of lightning so you can get all your stitches in.

    So many lovely things to inspire. Was trying to work out what FQS sal you were talking about in your last video. It’s going to be so pretty. As you know I’ve bought the cat version if they Jardin Prive design. February is a looong way of. Sigh. Have a great week.

    Apparently Friday the 13th happens to fall in October to make it the spookiest day of the year for new starts. Says the person that is doing WIPGO. She is kicking off a HaED Sal but most of us are just starting our own pieces on that day.

      Yes! I've been kind of tempted to start a Halloween piece I picked up at retreat this spring, but I think my goals for this month will win and I'll just start that next year. :)

    For some reason I'm really surprised that you've never stitched 1x2. You have so many projects that it seems like you've tried everything! Just goes to show just how many different ways stitching can happen.

      I know, right?! I’ve stitched 1 over 2 on 46 count, but never actually the classic 40 count. And I haven’t used 36 or 56 count at all yet - although I have some and hope to start projects with them eventually. Lots of fun ways to get creative and try new things!

      @@StitchinMommy 40ct is the highest I've gone so far. One day I'll try something higher!! Tiny stitches are just adorable.

    Hi Sarah! I'm so impressed that you stitch by color completion. I would be so afraid I'd be off by 1/2 a Stitch if it's not aida. A counting error would be something I don't know I could fix. Does that scare you at all? Happy October stitching! Lori

    • @StitchinMommy
      @StitchinMommy  Рік тому +1

      I tend to be a pretty accurate counter, so I am always double checking myself as I count - especially when color completing. Some things I find I do need to stay closer because the fabric isn't helpful - my Stargazer for example is harder to see being very dark fabric and it's a tight weave because of being dyed. So I won't stray very far with that one - I do believe I would get 1/2 stitch off pretty easily on that one! But other projects are either over 1 already, so that makes it easier to count, or the fabric is easier to see, so it's not as tricky to count and double check everything. :)

    Just curious how you label your tubes for your projects?

    • @StitchinMommy
      @StitchinMommy  Рік тому +1

      If the tube is clear, I don't have a label - I can just see through the tube and remember what project is on that fabric. If the tube is cardboard or cardstock (especially if the fabric is not sticking out the end), I will just write the name of the project on the end of the tube.

    What kind of binder do you use for your charts.

    • @StitchinMommy
      @StitchinMommy  Рік тому

      Right now, I have all the cover pages for the patterns I have in Pattern Keeper in a plastic folder that has a center section to secure them brads through 3 hole punches. In order to add a new page, I do have to undo the brad and take the pages out, put the new one in and put them back on the brads. So, a small 1/2 inch or 1 inch binder could also be a good alternative if you think you'll be changing out the pages more often.
