Great conversation, I'm a super huge 112 fan I have all of their CDs/vinyls. I'm so glad I met 112 at an autograph signing back in 2017. Listening to this conversation took me back to the 90s hearing Q talk about how they got started which I already knew from reading magazines in the 90s. I also was a huge Bad Boy records fan, I can tell you every artists at the time signed to Bad Boy and about the artist.
He had an album that was so good!! But you can't help but to miss the harmonies from the group

112 have so many good quality songs. I’m glad they mentioned Nivea because they are right about her voice and unique sound. Brandy’s whole sound is around her layers and harmonies. Faith Evans also has beautiful backgrounds. Mariah is a beast though for vocal arrangements.

Dope interview! So glad y'all interviewed Q. This is the most honest I've heard him discuss the 112 breakup. Love the group as a whole and I agree it's time that they mend things out at least on a personal level which hopefully will lead to another musical reunion. Their last album as a duo was pretty good but it was missing their signature sound that Q & Daron help made.
I loved hearing him talking about background vocals @15:40 he's right, his voice really stood out in the background vocals. I've listened to Take 6 before but I really need to get into Commissioned more. @ 28:40 Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, and Debra Killings really don't get their respect for how amazing their background vocals are.

Love this interview: I know Q says that if it wasnt slim on the whole track it was slim and Q and i feel the problem with that is on album songs where Daron and Mike are on lead vocals, like Player, people think its Q singing instead which i find quite annoying
