- Stephanie attacks Brooke regarding Ridge and the baby. Brooke claims the baby will be fine since it will be raised by two parents who love him. Stephanie tells Brooke that Ridge will not be able to overcome the baby’s paternity and states if she loves him she will let him go. She admits that she was in the same position when she suspected there was a chance that Ridge could have been Massimo’s son and ignored it. She let her love for Eric get in the way and tells Brooke she doesn’t want her to end up alone and full of regrets. Brooke is shaken by Stephanie’s emotional plea. Meanwhile, Ridge visits Nick asking to adopt the baby. Nick refuses to be cut out of his child’s life. Ridge firmly states that nothing has changed between Brooke and him and storms off. Jackie tells Massimo that Nick is the father of Brooke’s baby. Massimo is upset and predicts the results will be disastrous to his family.

“What is wrong with me wanting to raise nicks child with his brother!” As usual Brooke doesn’t even hear how hypocritical and selfish she sounds. Brooke and ridge claim they’re not shutting Nick out but if that was the case why does he need to give up his rights? I love how Brooke refers to her raising nicks son with his uncle “a little awkward”, I guess like when she was raising and calling her son his brothers “son”. I guess her son being his sisters uncle was a “little” awkward also.
Brooke and Ridge are so perfect for each other, so selfish. These parents are too invested in their adult children's love life. Stephanie has faith in Brooke, what a joke. They are having Stephanie rewriting about Ridge's paternity
It is significant that the RESULT of this story is now described as a catastrophe (even though it is fundamentally innocent) that destroys the family, but not the CAUSE.
Yet another rewrite. When Steph found out about ridges paternity she was shocked and now we’re supposed to believed she intentionally lied and needed her to admit this to Brooke of all people so she loses the moral high ground. These situations are completely different.
I just wrote the same thing! It's frustrating when we just saw the complete opposite play out on screen.

So now suddenly Stephanie knew all along that Ridge could be Massimo's child and she just didn't want to admit it to anyone? That is not what we were told in 2001. But of course it only works to further degrade Stephanie's character. I have basically given up trying to make sense of anything anymore.

Out of all elderly women of the show Jackie is the finest. Stefano has taste.

Even if we put aside
the rewrite Brad himself acknowledged about Ridge's paternity....why is he changing again Stephanie's story about Ridge. She was shocked when she found out!
She is most likely lying so she can convince Brooke to leave. Indeed she was shocked when she found out. And she seemed like she had her pe riod after Massimo and before Eric, judging from her reaction when the doctor told her a woman can still be pregnant even if she has had her peri od.
I always take everything they say with a grain of salt. At times we had Stephanie and Eric talking that they got married because of the baby, how Eric had been trapped into marriage, even Stephanie talking to her son about the other woman that Eric had been so in love with and likely never got over - and then we had Stephanie even then talking about how much Eric and Stephanie had been in love with each other in college.
Ridge in episodes 199-200 even questioning that changing narrative and why Eric would end it with a woman he supposedly had been in love with and marry his mother and if Ridge had been the reason for that marriage.
In episode 200 Stephanie is convinced that the other woman must be Liz Henderson because Eric never has been involved with another woman (Ridge reminds her about her suspicions about Margo) or at least Eric has never before admitted to it. 😅
The narrative continuously changes, even when they talk to the same people.
Nick should of been the father of this child and not Ridge

Strange karma with these families and how their past supposedly repeats itself:
A) Both, grandmas, Jackie and Stephanie, already experienced the same thing, married to one man but raising another man's child in that marriage.
B) Nick and Ridge both grew up with a "father" that wasn't really their biological dad.
C) Brooke in the past already tried to raise a man's child (Eric's) with his close relative (then son) and now she is planning to raise Nick's child with Nick's brother.
Nick was so awesome...the only one who could stand up to Ridge. Love this storyline with Brooke, Ridge and Nick ❤

You are all completely wrong. So what are they supposed to do. Give the child to nick to bring it up a alone a single parent without its mother o that's right ok. Or should brooke be forced to be with him. Well thats great. They have to make the best of a bad situation. You all just forget that brooke and ridge love each other. Massimo is right. Nick cares and wants to be with brooke that's the problem not the child. Nick is being selfish. He admitted that what he did was wrong with brooke. Now he has to prove it.

Nick shouldn’t be expected to let Ridge adopt his child and be his father when he already has one.

😅 Going by how BRIDGE has ended the first time, because Ridge didn't want to interfere with his father's marriage/family any longer, I would agree, but then we had Ridge again and again playing step-father to his (then) half-sibling(s) little Eric (and Bridget).
It will depend on Ridge's mood😎 , if he will be seeing his brother or will just be happily ignorant.
