One of the better medium-length video's on this ebike. Above average production values. Tip: to avoid dumping the battery when folding, don't remove the key first.
I worked in electronics. The regenerative feature is more about braking and using the forward momentum to feed back a small amount of energy back to the battery while saving wear and tear of the breaking system. This is nothing new in technology. It is same as using downshifting in a manual transmission car or motorcycle to slow down quickly while using a small amount of breaking. ... Like all things there are advantages and disadvantages. ...... More hoopla is being made of it than is needed.
Well done I've got a haibike with a Bosch mid mounted motor but had always wondered why they don't recharge as you ride as it's not rocket science to do so,it's good news to see companies are now getting into it
My regen system has never worked, but I still love this bike. It is supposed to work in 0 pedal assist while coasting over 18 KPH. I sent them a video going through a radar speed monitor at 25MPH and they said that they could not see the control screen which was also visible in plain sight. Anyone could see me set that I was dropping the pedal assist from 5 down to 0 after speeding up to around 28MPH. Engwe support first offered $80 euro, then $200 and the last time was $300 so settle the issue. Never did they offer to send any parts, like the back wheel and motor which I imagine is the problem. They only asked for a video and engine number. When I assembled the front fork, I notice it seem loose, took it apart again and the bearing had come apart but all the ball bearings were still in place so I just put it back together, torqed it down and it was ok for the first day or so then began to make clanking noise so I sent them a video of that. They claimed it was normal when I had not heard that in other video, like this one. I torqed it down again and it seem better but not gone. They offered a complete refund and issued a return label if I returned it in the original box and packing that I had already told them I no longer had. I hope that Engwe will honor the warranty as Ireally like this bike.
Just got mine too. Looks like they upgraded the power switch as well as the display because they look nothing like the instructions. Did you figure out how to switch from kmh to mph? I was able to change eco, normal, and sport mode but not sure what that actually changes.
The biggest biggest issue with these bikes is the handle bars, where it’s welded on is actual quit fragile, lucky Engwe can send out replacement ones pretty fast so I’m guessing it’s a common thing for them
Awesome! Like electric moto bike, but like Puch49ccm or other.Yes to remind me when I was a kid and drove a Puch or Tomos 49 with pedals and a small engine. Mothern time and mothern engine.👍💥
We purchased this Vivi 27.5” electric bike and a Tentaquil 26” electric bike for our 13 and 14 year olds. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxUiL0GnyDjP32RJdd660sP8mZk4CRLTCJ The Vivi was much easier to put together. With the Vivi, there was a video link to assist with assembly which made the process easier to follow (we did put the handlebars on upside down, but it was a quick and easy fix). With the Tentaquil, the assembly was not as simple to follow, but after we messaged the company for an assembly video, it was easier and they did respond quickly. The other major differences were that the Vivi has a grip throttle on the right handle (like a motorcycle) and the Tentaquil has a push throttle that you use your thumb to activate. The monitors were also different, so if you’re looking for something specific in terms of changing the bikes functions, pay attention to what the monitor offers. We were really impressed with the overall quality and functionality of both bikes, but if you’re looking for more power and an easier assembly, definitely go with the Vivi!
it's pointless to be honest, because going uphill will take more power from the battery, but won't generate as much while going downhill, plus it will slow it down which will take away that fun factor of downhill riding.
How difficult is it to ride without power due to the drag of the regen motor? The bike is heavy to begin with, if it feels like the rear wheel is rubbing on something that tells me it would be essentially torture to ride without assist on any meaningful hilly distance. Can anyone comment on zero power assist rideability?
Bike is pretty heavy itself plus regeneration resistance so it's a little hard but not too bad . If you lower the gear to 1 or 2 it's not bad ,you can easly ride it but you won't go fast though! Hope this helps.
i'm not sure if that's going to be worth it. one my experience with my motorcycle. with a drained batttery I manually start the engine thru kick starter and tried to recharge it by riding around 6km. Well it did charge I could start the engine with the switch again in a few days but 3 days later it was drained out. So cruising it charges too little and this is run by gas mostly and battery just for the lights and starter. end up charging it with the charger and lasted like it supposed to.
Well i dont know how it work exactly but my lectric bike do that it charge it self for extra mileage i notice go down 1 bar then gets back up to full so on a normal ride i 7 miles range i go back full battery home
Most important question is, what don't know, why sellers don't provide about this recharging. How many km you must go down the hill to do one km up back this hill? Anybody?

their site said: I-ERS
The intelligent sensor engage the I-ERS system to regenerate 60% energy when you’re going down hill without energy consumption.
Just got myself one and I love it
How long did the delivery take ?
@@JuNpwr I bought it new/ second hand from a guy locally so didn’t have it delivered
Are u still satisfied with the bike? Is the topspeed actually 28mph / 45 km/h ?
Bump
well done young man, great fun going on the ride!

That shock is actually an oil shock. Non adjustable but are good for just basic suspension for soaking up bumps and rough trails.
Thanx for the great review!!!
I'm looking to buy a self charging mountain bike but not folding. Your review helped me a lot.

great video! I just bought one...hopefully it will arrive sometime in July
Just got my bike on Friday and now to check it out to see if it recharges the battery. I guess not all motors on this bike model have that feature.

Yes. Went to Imperial. Not metric
@@gqcwby how did you accomplish going to mph? and do you have the new display on bike from factory?
@@inegma29 yes. In the settings mode. Went from Metric to Imperial. My display came with the bike
Reason why i came here to watch this cause my sister will buy me this next week im soo excited😅

Shock absorber should be heavy duty for less jumps.chain should be heavy duty so no chance problem in long way.
Galing naman lodi erp!! Sana magkaroon dito nyan
you didnt talk about speed and top speed etc. ?
What a bike, what a video
May I ask what is the current limiting on your controller ? It should say somewhere on the controller..

I want to buy it
It has 16Ah battery not 12.8 like older Ep2 pro
The old one is 12.8 New is 13 or 16

Love the recharge system...I have the Ado A20F - 500w motor...can this be added to my rear wheel? ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I would say u would need the wheel and the controller to get yours charging the battery
The ADO A20F has G FORCE which regenerates power thr same way.
Amazing. How much pedal assist e bike.
Quality and great price
How fast can the bike go with 750 watt
Hi from Romania, nice bike , nice video! Whats the real mileage in throttle mode?
Reaaal??
May someone tell me the names of the ebikes that can recharge the battery as I'm riding ?
How do you switch from kmh to mph?
So its foldable; whats it weigh?

Official website did not mention selfrecharge, is it working on this model? What is exactly the model?
It did, its the EP-2 PRO.
This is the first version, there is a other one the second is better
off engwwe site is there slime in the wheels?
regen braking is nothing new, all my electric longboards do it.
Power out =energu in less 255.. the drag of the "regenrration is greater than the input. Its a con
