You know that Mephisto is just going to be an NPC, right? You trade your HP for loot, or if you're particularly daring, you can REBOOT your squad for all but 1 of your HP! Mephisto isn't an ACTIVE villain, he's a villain enabler. HE DOESN'T CARE ABOUT TAKING OVER THE WORLD BECAUSE THAT'S NOT THE GAME HE'S PLAYING!

He already showed you all the evidence he had, the plane crash, that's it, and it wasn't even the right type of plane. The fact that they didn't have a special model for the plane should tell you that the association with the movie was ACCIDENTAL! It was the same plane crash from an earlier season painted wight.
