The old pit fiend is absolutely perfect
That Green Knight is so epic! Gives such a fun retro high fantasy feel to the table.
I love the old Pitfiend he’s huge
The 1E mimic has to be my favorite. The idea that the mimic just punches someone as they walk up kills me
I was really happy to see the Eidolon. But the 1st edition was actually Moloch, the former lord of Malbolge, featured on the 1st edition PHB cover. Reminds of my first D&D days in 5th grade.
The Mordenkainen miniatures are both so great! The classic looks like it was ripped right off the page, while the new has the 'extravagant' feel you'd expect someone like Mordenkainen to have!
Old school Mordy with the streaks in his beard is my favorite. He looks like he just came from a disco.
I’d have to say the Eidolon was my favorite you unboxed here: the guy hasn’t changed much between 1e and 5e and he is just so iconic.
Yeah! The pair of its 1e and 5e minis form a “before” and “after” image of the theft of its eye from the 1e PHB! 😮
My favourite is the 1e shadow demon as he fits in with the Cartoon series figures
The 1st edition pit fiend is actually super badass!!
The 1st edition mimic is also hilarious. Just a chest ready to punch you
I love how epic the old pit fiend looks. And the 5e shadow demon looks so epic and just out of a nightmare, its awesome.
The 1e mimic was my favorite. It is so goofy and absurd and great with the fist punching out.
I love the 1e glabrezu for the sheer audacity of translating some of that wild 70s art into a functional 3d piece
The Pit Fiend 1E hits home for me. Was my favorite when I watched my dad play as a small child.
It’s hard to pick a favorite so many good options but that 1e pit fiend definitely hit the mark when it comes to the quintessential pit fiend
I am obsessed with Glabrezu!! I need to see a giant version of him in the future !🔥
I really love the Green Knight. Need him, the blue Wizard and the dragon.
I love the 1e pit fiend! It is way more imposing compared to the 5e version! Great pull
Out of the minis I’ve seen I love the new Vecna and Lolth minis
I have a lot of the old 3/3.5 minis and have mostly been buying the 2d minis for my recent games. The 50th anniversary minis are pretty cool and I'll probably try my luck with a box or two.
My fingers are crossed that I'll get the Gold Dragon. That mini would be awesome to display
The 5e Shadow Demon looks cool.
I have to have that Bugbear since I collect them. But this is absolutely my favorite set they have released so far. So hyped!!!
Ooooh, I love that Eidolon! That brings back memories of playing D&D with my dad when I was very young. I used to sit on his lap while he and his med school friends played. I'd move the pieces around for him.
I think the Lolth figure is my favorite. I like the look of this one over some of the other variations of her that have released. Also really like both shadow demons, the 5e elf, and the 1E lemure. This set is pretty great, thanks for sharing!
Gotta say my favorite is the 1e pit fiend its definitely one of the coolest looking monsters in the set
Something about the first edition Pit fiend, just love it.
The old school mimic cracks me up every time I see it! Something about just straight up getting punched instead of eaten is somehow more insulting lol like you are almost eaten and survive, you have bragging rights. You are sucker punched? Not so much, you are just the butt of everyone's joke in the tavern lol
I personally really loved the look of the Red Warrior! Makes me want to design a character around her.
I love both of the shadow demons, but my favorite of the day would have to be the Green Knight from the Holmes Basic cover. I want to be able to get this and the Blue Wizard to go with the Red Dragon I have on order for my birthday, and then pose them all in front of the Holmes box that I learned to play from back in 1980.
Surprisingly, the 1e lemure really stood out to me. A little goofy but still looks super interesting!
Right?? Agreed!
The gnolls are my favorite of this set so far. Those 2 added with any assortment will make a great warband. Love the spear/shield
The Green Knight was my favorite out of this. Great job pulling two chase minis!
The first edition Pit Fiend is immaculate. The painting is amazing, definitely my favorite. Gotta love how big the dude is too!
The older edition pit fiend has the aura to him. Three pit fiends in one booster brick? My players would be in for one bad day indeed.
Big fan of the Mordenkainen mini though the 5e one is a cut above. I always like the minis that have two figures… giant space hamster and the halfling ranger; the Ogre Howdah and Goblin Hucker are my most used ogre minis, and Mordenkainen and his hound really stand out. I convinced my DM to let me play an awakened giant hamster beast master ranger in our next campaign. The halfling will be my animal companion!
Impressed by the uncommon Elf figure. The sculpt and detailing are superb.
I really love that 5e Eidolon figure, might be my favorite in this set! Hoping to open that and the Strahd in his throne when the set drops!
By far the pit fiends were the best of this unboxing n I love how there's 1e and 5e version of the miniatures
Been playing/DMing off and on since '76. I can't decide between the Eidolon and the 1ed Pit Fiend. Both are awesome and bring back fond memories...
Definitely like the Green Knight, very good representation of the Artwork.
The skeleton knight, like you said it's good to see a different species represented.
The 1e pit fiend and both the shadow demons were definitely my favorites from this unboxing!
That skeleton knight is sick but that 5e shadow demon is amazing!
The Elf 5e looks really cool with that metallic blue paint.
Yeah, that Eidelon is freaking epic, definitely my favorite from this brick.
I absolutely love the 5th Edition Elf Figure for two wonderful reasons she looks like my wife and she’s the perfect mini for her elves that she always makes and plays.
I really like the 1e shadow demon. Usually overly simple paint jobs on minis are not appealing to me, but that one just works and I'm not sure why. TBH I like a lot of the minis from this set and its a tough choice to pick a favorite.
The Green Slaad. Although from the whole set, the Uni mini hits the nostalgia button. I wish they’d included the classic Beholder and Displacer Beasts from their Monster collections here, even if that would have meant competition between two different products. Both monsters are so emblematic of D&D as a game.
I am very fond of the 1st edition Goblin. 'Very cool.
I love watching the unboxing of new minis
This set looks so good
I really like how Lolth looks in this one!
1E Mordenkainen! Not only is his old look so iconic, it's very similar in appearance to how I designed my Draconic Bloodline Sorcerer!
First Edition Pit Fiend was lethal for sure. Really liked the detail of it.
My favorite here is definitely the Eidelon. So iconic and intimidating!
Eidolon is pretty sick. I like when they have extra set dressing on the base like the fire.
I really love all the new fiends, never can enough demons and devils
1E Pit Fiend FTW! I'm so pleased that WizKids has been able to translate the b&w art to excellent minis!
Love the pitfiends. The 1st edition is epic.
oooh love me a booster brick unboxing!
I love the mimics 😂 There poses are so comical!
The 5e Shadow Demon is great, I really enjoy the fade effect.
The shadow demons are so cool, love the translucent effects!
I started out playing D&D using my dads old first edition stuff, so this brings back some fond childhood memories. I absolutely love this set and I’m glad wizard made it. Also the first edition githyanki was my favorite!
The Green Knight 14:20 was my favorite here (Holmes Basic box). I’m fond of its visor & shield. In the 1979 (3rd) printing, the shield emblem appears only in this image. It could be a phoenix, but is likeliest inspired by the black heraldic eagle common to a number of European entities throughout history.
Love that 5e lolth right out the gate. Can't wait to open my first Brick of these! Would love that to be from my literal favorite DnD product reviewer the Gallant Goblin ❤
So few use cases for bringing out the mini of a god at a table, but that's incredibly cool - the Lolth one looks awesome.
my favorite was defiantly the 1e pit fiend. love the brick reviews really helps me zero in on which ones to buy first keep em coming
The rampaging Eidolon is extra primo good. Would be great for encounters or just to decorate your desk.
Out of that set the old PIt fiend would be my pic. But the Modrons in this box set are my absolute favorite.
The rampaging Eidolon 5e is great and both shadow demons, but the 5e version with the paint fade looks awesome
It's hard to pick a favorite but I think probably Eidolon because it's so unique. The pitfiend 1E is awesome and that elf was great. Awesome video thanks for the review as always!
I'm living the Green Slaade, and the dragonborn skeleton knight
While I dig that 1e Pit Fiend, I gotta say that 5e Eidolon is my favorite. Hits me right in the nostalgia button! Thanks for doing a cool giveaway!
Love these pieces above the regular number in the set! I'm really interested!
The strand is my favourite mini for play, but the ampersand gold dragon is my fav for display purposes. I am so excited for this set to be released!
Like the dragonborn skeleton and of course classic pit fiend for sure
Loving the 1st edition pit fiend.
I was humming and hawing until you pulled out the 1st edition put fiend. I think that’s my favorite!
Gotta say I'm not as jazzed about the 1e figures but I think they're growing on me. I really liked that 1e Pit Fiend and his absolute chonk
The Eidolon just remembers my Players HandBook even without one of the eyes/ gems.
Punchy mimic looks great :)
Pit Fiend for the win! Love the gauntlets and scull belt.
I'm always a sucker for the mimics
The 1e pit fiend
I gotta get some of these
I love this set and cannot wait for the set’s release. The Eidolon 5e is awesome
Classic monsters, a set I would be interested in.
I loved the green knight such a classic look
I am like many others who like the old pit fiend, looks fantastic. Also, like the Lolth mini as well as I am running a Drow theme campaign for one of my gaming groups. This set is looking really good and starting to rethink my decision to not purchase a brick. Thank you, Theo for giving us a glimpse of what's to come.
Either of the lolth figures would be amazing. Same with those pit fiends
The Lolth figure will be perfect for my group. We are starting the Vault of the Drow module.
5th edition Shadow Demon is impressive! I liked the 1st edition until i saw it 😂
I like the old pit fiend as well.
Even though we have a lot of gnolls I think my favorite in this video is the 1e gnoll.
I already have the 1e unpainted Mini ordered. i cannot wait to get my hands on it. my favorite from this booster brick has to be either the dragonborn skeleton because i really only have humans and a couple orc skeletons or Eidolon may have to pick one of those up to paint myself as well.
I did like the elf woman and the Red Warrior.
My favorite has to be the 1e Githyanki. Such a cool look from the cover of the Fiend Folio.
Now if only we had a Venger mini to go along with the 1e Shadow Demon...
Venger is one of the chase figures...
Huge drow fan, so like Lolth..but the 1e Pit Fiend looks great..love it!
1e mimic is too good 😎
Mimics, followed closely by kobolds!!!! and the 1e blink dogs, but the pit fiend 1e is also excellent... lots of good stuff in these boxes
