Sounds like it was burning so much oil that you fouled a plug out.
My 2008 Buell Ulyesses with an air cooled 1203 CC Thunderstorm engine based on the Evo or Sportster engine ..
Has; Piston oilers.. An air cooler with an air scoop.. Air Scoops to direct air to the rear cylinders.. and an electric fan that draws air acrost the heads that kicks in at 400-F
There are ways to make HD's reliable , but the Motor CO just doesn't want to incorporate them. Looks to me like some Models now have liquid cooled heads..
You guys were in my neck of the woods. I live in Waterford and also have a 2020 Low Rider S that I just put the 131 on. Good luck with the bike.
Looks like a bomb ride till the gremlins snuck up on ya. Hard to tell from the audio, but for me it sounded like a connecting rod failed. Hope it is covered if so.
Audio also sounded like an exhaust leak, but I can't imagine that would kill the engine. That being said, all my bikes are way old and don't have any sensors or technology.
Hope it gets ironed out and yall back on the road lickety split. I'm enjoying your channel. Safe ride!
So many complaints about looking down at the gauges on the 20-21 models. Relocation of the gauges to the bars is a very easy mode. Then you have dual gauges instead of the single that comes on the 22s or the little street bob gauge on the st.
Looks like cool weather.. Most air cooled HD failure occur in hot weather such as idling a lot on hot weather..

Had to escape the heat of Albany and went up to Placid on the Bob as well, had an Air BnB right outside out town. Hiked up Whiteface and had some good eats at the Brewery.

So many different opinions on the st fairing. Some like it other say it’s no better than a well set up t-sport fairing.

It’s running on 1 cylinder.
easiest way to fix this is to take the Harley badge off, it'll start right up with an added 75hp! In all seriousness, hope you get it sorted soon!

used to live up in the glens falls area. beautiful except for all the racism and sexual preditors. had actually worked with real inbreeders and learned the term double cousin up there. my vintage triumph broke down heading home from lake george and between towns theres a whole lotta nothing.

Sounds like plugs, while it is a completely different bike, I did experience very similar on my Triumph Speedmaster

I had a 04 low rider it would foul the plugs just ever so often I put new carb tuned everything I just put two sets in saddle bag all time good luck hope nothing serious safe travels.

That sounds like you’ve dropped a cylinder!!!
You’re not getting any spark on one of the cylinders and I’m betting that the smoke has a lot of raw or unburned gas in it!!!
Hope it’s covered under warranty, but continuing to ride it like that may default any warranty protection you have!!!

Always a bummer to have issues on any trip. I had a front wheel bearing go out 300 miles from home and no open shops in the area. Got acquainted with UHaul to get it home.

looks like it did when she shut it off. Curious what code it threw. My '22 FXLRS had the fuel pump die on the freeway in rush hour; sounded similar to that as it was dying, but wouldn't fire back up once the engine shut off.
