Horde Crest / World Of Warcraft Art / ASMR Wood Carving

- I carved this Horde crest out of solid beech wood. I used few hand tools (sweep chisel, V chisel and flat chisel). The process required time and patience and itʻs not very difficult.
The piece is finished with wood stain. Dimensions are 34x20cm.

Tode, love your videos! I have been wondering--I've got a small chisel set but no hammer. Is it unsafe to use a regular hammer? I don't own an axe or anything to make a wooden mallet like the ones I see often used alongside chisels.

Hi Dilburt. I'm glad you like my carvings. If you don't have previous experience with wood carving, carving a totem is a bit difficult because it is a 3D sculpture. Wings and horns are separated from the body. Carve them first and attach them to the body with screws. I have some picture of work in progress on my Instagram. Maybe you'll find them helpful.

Szobrásznak tanulok és faszobrász restaurátornak szeretnék továbbtanulni. Eddig agyaggal dolgotam még leginkább, és még csak pár alkalommal fával, de nagyon megtetszett. Ha nem gond, lene pár kérdésem azzal kapcsolatban, hogy mik szükségesek, ahoz, hogy otthon is elkezdhessek pár apróbb dolgot, és hogy te honnan szerezted be őket.

Try with simple projects like numbers, flowers, letters etc. Carve your name on a piece of wood. Or your house number.
