Stainless steel construction
Good size storage bag - big enough to easily fit the components into it
Weight isn’t bad considering the size
setup process is straight-forward
Plenty of air holes
raised legs so it can sit on all types of surfaces without issues
once it is put together it stays together
large fuel chamber
Feeding this stove is very, very easy and can be done from the top of the center plate.
Accepts large pieces of wood
Easy to Lite
Review Cons :
setup with this style of stove is somewhat cumbersome and gloves aren’t a terrible idea easilu as you use the stove and there is some natural warpage.
Summary :
This is a good stove for those who like to burn wood and want a larger stove to work with. This is made for large pots, big pans and would be great for larger groups. Before purchasing this stove, I would ask yourself whether or not you need the size as it is large.
Should be mentioned that the design isn’t anything unique or special and in fact, there are many companies who make the same product but with a different company logo on it. This is the least expensive version that I have seen but it wouldn’t surprise me at all if there was another company out there who was selling it for less.
Performance is good, it’s of a large size, can burned for a long time and can put out a lot of heat.

I bought a small lixada several years ago. It is hinged on 3 sides and folds together easily. It also came with the insert where you can put an alcohol stove in it, so it’s basically a 3 in 1 if you use fuel tabs. It folds down to about the size of a piece of bread. It is one of those items that goes with me every trip. I love mine.
I've been using this exact model for years now and I like it a lot. Inexpensive, sturdy, no hassle. 10/10
Thanks for the review, Luke! 👍
Looks like a good bigger stick stove that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. Thanks for sharing. Take care and stay safe.
I love ur no BS, straight up reviews. We can always be sure that good or bad, you're always going to give us your honest opinion on a product. Strength and Honor.
I have the same stove in Titanium. I think it weighs 9 oz with bag/slip.Super easy to carry in a kit. I agree that it is a bit fiddly to assemble, but it doesn’t require a degree. Boils water very quick, and the side port enables you to cook different food, not just dehydrated. Use is as my main stove out kicking around the woods, and have several types including wood gas, isobutane, multi fuel and alcohol.Did a comparison with the wood gas stove with my kids and some scouts and it boiled 750 ml water more quickly. It will scorch the ground (or a park bench 😬) so the warning to be mindful is spot on. I’m no gear reviewer, but it’s sure become my favorite.
I've been using this stove now for awhile backpacking to reduce my alcohol fuel use. If you keep the front side off the stove it fits an alcohol stove inside with your pot as well and acts as a wind screen. Great versatile unit.
Bought from eBay this week for $16 shipping included. I’m impressed with the quality of it. I own the Lixada alcohol version and this one is built considerably better.
Every time I come back to this channel no matter how long it has been I'm always happy to see you have neither changed your editorial style nor stated objective of providing a fair review of a product.
I have just bought one of these on EBay for £9.98. Great stove for the money. Thanks for the review.
I have been using the Lixada medium size stove for about 4 years. It has always worked well for me, having all the pros and cons you discussed here with it's big brother. The fact that it is a little hard to snap together though is also the reason why it stays together when in use. So, IMO that's a wash.
Having no other wood burning stoves in my arsenal, I sought this video out to see what you thought about it. I'm happy to see my past research and purchase was a good one. All in all, I've been VERY happy with it as it consumes very little fuel to make a meal. I have placed it right in my firepit while camping and cooked dinner with it and used the embers to start up a campfire after my meal.
Thank you again for the great videos!!!
I actually did my first burn in the large titanium version of this stove yesterday. Little learning curve on getting it started, but burns rather well. I however DID experience some warping. Again on the titanium version and it was burning for about an hour or so. Still enjoying it none the less
Got mine for about 20 bucks. Works great, now i want the small version lol.
I have a couple Lixada stoves. I always avoid this type and went for the ones with hinges on each corner. They have a single wire pin which goes into the final corner when you assemble it. I found them to be much easier to assemble and you can be sure it won't fall apart even on uneven ground. Some of them (usually the smaller ones) come with a small alcohol (spirit) burner holding plate too which makes it even more versatile, although a bit more bulky.
Got that model in titanium, cant fault it so far , great for a size 12 zebra pot , 2 rehydrated meals and 2 hot drinks in one boil
I have a large wood burning stove just about every time I go camping. It's made of rocks and looks remarkably like a fire ring. It's got a huge access port for feeding sticks. It's overall weight is ridiculously heavy, but it's minimum pack weight can't be beat.
Just giving you a hard time Luke. Thanks for the vid, great as always.
I've had the box version which is hinged, very easy to put together. Had it for two years, and had no issues whatsoever, even though I have used and abused it. thanks Luke, take care 👍🙂
I was at Bass Pro Shop yesterday bought a whole bunch of stuff and I almost thought about getting one of these. But I got to remind myself that I have a charcoal chimney starter with a grill insert on the top that works magically and is very light and can be caribbeaned by the handle. I think it's an awesome wood burning stove option as an alternative.
I have purchased all three sizes of this stove and they are Awesome!
They are a knock off of the Emberlit stoves, just as good, but a lot cheaper. Great video as always!
Thank you for the review, I got the titanium one on Amazon for $28 plus tax, works beautifully, thanks again have a great day
I just bought that same one. It’s coming tomorrow and will live in my bugout bag.
I have both the stainless and the titanium version of this stove and I agree with your assessment of this stove. I personally don't find it too difficult to assemble, and in case anyone is wandering, I weigh 135 pounds and have no problem putting enough muscle into assembling this stove.
I’ve got the titanium version and tonight just cooked steaks on top. It worked well and gave the steaks a nice woodsy piney flavor. Boiled water and made some Stash Chai tea. The upside is you can walk around the neighborhood and pick up all the free fuel you want. Its like the new version of the flux capacitor and burns anything from tiny twigs to 2” diameter logs. To start it, I ball up a mixture of dry leaves and pine needles and set the ball under some twigs. Starts every time. It is very safe, efficient and fits nicely in my pack. It won’t replace the Jetboil but the Jetboil won’t replace it either.
I agree!! I have the titanium version which adds the advantage of low weight. I use wood and alternatively the Trangia burner inside, so far no issues, and for the price certainly a good choice
Purchared this same model, the medium size for $18, 3 years ago. Still works fine up to now.
Still my favorite channel!
I love these little stoves. I think there are a few that are all similar in design. They pack away to practically nothing and have great utility.
i have that stove for years and used it countless times.. still no issues and its a bargain! i would defo recommend it
Hahaha I literally just purchased that the other day. So funny you posted a review today on it
Hahaha ha hs
I have a Titaniun version, it's awesome, light and very efficient.
Good to know! I just buy one last week!
I've used the same exact model for a little over four years now. Mine has slightly warped from continued use but nothing dramatic, still works as intended. It has a permanent home in my day hike pack.
Early on , this was one of my favorite wood stoves. My only complaint was how difficult it was to get the trivets on and off. I ended up warping them when they were hot trying to get them on and off. Other than that, this stove is amazing. Great weight to size ratio and awesome amount of heat coming out of it. I highly recommend it especially for winter use.
I own quite a bit of Lixada products including this stove with the alcohol burner, both titanium and the stainless gasification stove, telescopic fishing poles, even compression base layer clothing. Never had any complaints with any of they're products.
Luke I have and love a Lixada Camp wood stove. It is a folding stove. Takes just a few seconds to put it together. It is hinged and has one pin to connect it. It has a plate that you can put in it to use your Trangia type alcohol stove in it. Also an ash plate that you can use for solid fuel tablets. And of course the wood. It works great and is less than 16.00 on Amazon a few minutes ago. A little smaller than the one you have there. Solidly built.
Three negatives, coals fall out the bottom, stainless is heavy and the assembly is fiddly, would be difficult with gloves in cold weather. Appreciate your reviews, Luke. I have this one, the Emberlit , the Firebox, two Solos and another round reburner (can’t remember the name). My favorite is the Solo, Campfire. It’s big; but, so am I. Everything I carry is light except that stove; it’s worth it. I use bigger dry sticks for a Swiss torch like fire, a stand up grill and sometimes a tripod. It’s a dandy. Texas
I don't have this stove. What little I have used the twig stoves I have, I find that if you are not in a hurry, they're great. That is, if you are in a non fire restricted zone. I find that if I let the fire burn down to a pile of hot coals, my cook pot stays a lot cleaner. If I place the pot on a freshly built fire, in the yellow flames, it develops a thick black shellac because the pot sweats and collects soot. This mixture then cooks itself to the outside surface of the pot. Anyway, twig stoves are fun to work with. Just have a good sack to store the stove and cookpots in. Thanks for sharing.
Very enjoyable but I think I'll stay with my bushbox Merry Christmas to you and your family. God bless from your friends across the pond 🇬🇧
I find your reviews very authentic. I just bought exactly the same model. Anyway, I like it, and after watching this video I'm sure I won't regret the purchase. I also bought a fireproof mat for it, just for safety. I think it's okay if it's hard to put together. This will definitely make it more stable. The embossed parts on the side protect against warping, I think. Overall it looks massive and usable.
Thank you. I have just bought one of these purely on your review.
Thanks from the UK.👍🏾🇬🇧
I've got that exact stove. Had it at least 3 years now. Its not that hard to put together. Works great. Haven't needed anything else.
I have had one for about a year now and love it! I have gone so far as to toss a raw pork chop on it and cooked it to perfection on this stove. I like that it breaks down flat inside my pack.
Got the same one but in Titanium. Sometimes put a alcohol stove in the bottom instead.
Got the same, the Ti version isn't very expensive and much lighter.
What did that run you?
@@Perktube1 It was a present, but they are not a silly amount more than the standard.
@@Perktube1 You can find it for around $20 on Aliexpress.
I finally wore out my titanium large lixada. Turned around and bought the stainless steel one. I expect good things
I could definitely do full size pan of fried potatoes and egg's with bacon with a fire that big, especially if it'll burn for hour + with no issues.
Nice stove Luke! I'd say your spot on with not much to complain about with that little stove!
This is the one I have not that tiny one from your newer review. This one is good. It ain't that hard to put together.
Good looking stove Luke! It's better than some of the ones I have seen. I like the fact you can get it in different sizes to fit your needs.
Living off grid for awhile and these designs are very easy fast & a must have. Totally SUBD
Yes i have one in France and the large size is perfect . Thanks .
Been looking at getting one soon
I own this stove, it's brilliant. Great for cooking, and great to have for a controlled camp fire too. Highly recommend it. The steel one does warp a little over time, I'm looking to get a titanium one.
Sanity on a Sunday morning. Thanks Luke. S&H
Been using the titanium one for a year maybe, its stood up well
Looks a great stove if in the Uk will invest in one , thanks for posting
It's a popular brand here in the UK.
i have a smaller (pot sized) square one from Lixada, cost about 10 USD. that one has an additonal tray below the ash tray so that nothing falls through to the ground. I have the same conclusions basically, a bit hard to put together, not a 100% fit, but once assembled it works very good.
I have a stove just like that but different brand that i bought at bass pro and i love it.
I have bought this same stove and you have nailed it as far as pros and cons ! Take care and stay safe my friend!!!
I got the titanium stove to that one. Very good stove. I've also owned the stainless steel one to which my one after 6 7 uses the pot support didn't fit the top major warp. All good with titanium so far do recommend
Great review always great information thank you
Good review. I’m a big supporter of wood burning stove and I’ve got the medium size because it can be used with an alcohol burner (included) as well. The only thing I was disappointed with on mine was that I had to smooth the edges of the plates.
I have a thin stainless firebox for my smoker. It gets really hot and warps. But it always comes back to straight when it cools.
I bought one awhile back and love it. Works great.
I have been watching your channel for a few months now and enjoy it. I also am a stove collector and watch your videos to get ideas. I have a few videos just in comparing a few types of alcohol stoves with wood ones
I have had the titanium version for about a year and a half and it works great. Mine comes in at 10oz, and as flat as they store you don't need any room at all in your pack. I actually forgot I had mine in my pack while I was getting ready for a trip and pulled it out of an interior pocket...lol.
I've used a charcoal starter the same way before. Its obviously heavier than one of these but it works.
That design appears to be a lot more solid/sturdier than some of the smaller models you have reviewed and I have seen, S.
It’s a MUST HAVE.
MEGA WOODS WALKER recommended.
They should incorporate a foldable feed bail to keep the wood straight as it burns from the side.
Ive actually got one of these, really good and off ebay was a bargain, yes a little fiddly to put together, but sturdy, made really well, works really well. Plus packs down flat and small and weigh not alot.
Worth getting one....
Keep up good honest reveiws and good content....
G'day Luke. I have the same stove in titanium. I agree with everything you said, it's a great stove, no frills, does the job well, and didn't break the bank. Thanks for another great video.
Open design twig stoves are easier and cleaner if you cook over coals rather than the raging fire you have there. Some sort of wind protection will help with heat management and sparks flying around. Also, a metal plate of some type is needed so you don't scorch the ground.
I've many products from Lixada, they're really good and budget friendly. Great company!
Luke as always your review was spot on I have some thing similar and it works great. Thanks Luke your the best.
Seems like a good stove for the colder months. Looks like a great heater more than anything
I have the exact same stove in Titanium, For how light weight and how little space it takes up it is a no brainer. Great for people on a budget if they go for the stainless steel version and I have used it for on and off 2 years and was the first stove I ever used solo wild camping. I have many stoves from Solostove to the bushbox and this one as simple as it is, is just perfect for any type of outdoors cooking/boiling.
Just in case anyone runs into this on amazon, the YaeiWorkers (purchased it in the beginning of the year), same bloody stove (same design, large openings, etc...), just a different brand name.
Skipped the SS, went Ti, not really that much more, works great.
Great review - I've got one for you to review. Very interesting stove, It is called the CAMPMAX Portable Folding Wood Stove. You can find it on Amazon.
It's a good stove: no assembly required. I have a small one, DOMAKER brand. Big enough for me during car camping as solo hiker. Too heavy, 2Lbs, for backpacking.
I have been eyeing this bad boy for about a year now. Might just pull the trigger. Thanks for the review.
I have the medium and like lt. As you said a bit fiddely to assemble but works great. The only complaint I have is !mine does not stay together if I move it. I solved this by using office binder clips one at each corner. Still a nice stove for the money.
Luke, hope your all ok, I've got this stove size medium and it's a great stove when your chilling out, if you want a fire but don't want to build a full fire use one of these stoves it's great for morale ps have a great Christmas
Might pick this one up, thanks for the review. I think it is the fuel choice that heats and cooks the food, not the stove. The stove is the mechanism that allows the fuel to burn efficiently, and the poor fuel choice will have a poor end result. Stay safe...
Love a good wood stove
The number of Lixada products is suprising.
Best I have seen. Thank you
I have one of those, and love it, because of the cross beams at the top. I am able to use my Stanley 2 cup cook set.
I think I prefer a gasification twig stove. They take up a little more space, but they burn very clean and can heat up a pot of water quickly.
This is the one iv got it really good .
I have the Emberlit, very similar design. I take it with me even if I am planning on using my Pocket Rocket. Sometimes, I set it up in the back yard, usually if I haven’t been camping in a while.
Thank you for the video...very nice
Nice stove! Great 👍🏻 Review, as always Luke! Happy Sunday!!!
I still have my fingers crossed that one day Luke will review the Buffalo Special 6 shirt! For those in the know I'm sure he'd love it. One of the best serious fall-winter bits of kit out there IMO of course.
...good one, great info...stay safe..
I watched this and determine I was gonna get this one after watching the rest of reviews of some others of yours, I got the titanium one and was wondering if I was doing something wrong assembling it and you had same issues so I feel better about my struggle with the stoves assembly, thanks for the review
good review. just ordered one
After seeing so many reviews i think its all about placement and size of the opening. Ive see some about the same size with small openings that were failures. Seen smaller stoves with openings to small or low that you might get lucky to get 1 stick inside
I have owned the small version for a year now and there is one major difference aside from size. The 4 walls are on a hinge pin and are always together which makes for VERY easy assembly. I like it very much and as said in this video it is easy to use and honestly kind of fun. I will warn you however if you are using the Stanley cook kit with the 2 insulated cups the cook pot barely fits on top due to how narrow it is. There are no support cross bars like with the big version so I ended up having to upgrade to the Toaks 750ml titanium pot because it is wider and fits on top much better making it more stable. The only 2 downsides versus my MSR pocket rocket cook stove is there is more soot and regulating the temperature is not as simple. However that being said I enjoy using the Lexada much more then just firing up the MSR stove.
Bought a cheapo 58 $ stove from Princess Auto. Excited to see how it works
I have one and it is a decent stove. No complaints.
Excellent report Luke.
WERE I CHINESE, living and purchasing in my home country, I would LOVE to have this camp/emergency stove. In the United States, I would select equally fine stoves made near to me. BUT...wow, at that price point: A BIG THANKS TO CHINESE WORKERS for their labor.
I have the titanium version with the round feeding port 217 grams.. 😎👍
Cool strong stove I like it man thanks for the nice review Luke awesome man
