  • Quick demonstration of the Lokscroll frame by Artisan Design from Oklahoma, USA. www.artisandesign.com/
    If anyone is wondering, I leave beadwork until last and typically remove the fabric from the frame and complete the beading by hand. I have rolled seed beads up on the frame without harming the fabric, but it was only for a couple of days. Thank you for watching! =)

    I just order and received this frame!!! LOVE it!!!! It is so light and easy to use and the price did not break me! I received my first order, cause of course I have ordered more rods, within one week!! Thank you for you demo and for bringing this frame to my attentions!!!

    Thank you for your demo, I have these scroll rods and never noticed the grove in the turning knob, I have just been holding the fabric stick as I tightened it up. As they say you learn something new every day.

    Thank you for this demo! I've been looking for a 'no baste', 'no tape', 'non-Millennium' frame. I have to find some kind of frame for my L&L Celtic Autumn. I'm glad to hear the rods go up to 30 inches that's definitely a plus for the bigger fabric sizes. I'll be checking this one out.

    • @RockinRavenVA
      @RockinRavenVA  8 років тому

      +stdwynwen Can't recommend them highly enough. Celtic Autumn should fit on the 24" rods, especially if you stitch on 32ct. What's nice is how interchangeable the rods are with the sidebars. Thank you for watching!

    So, what do the tension knobs do? Do they just hold the stick in place? Or, do they turn or make adjustments in the tension?

    • @RockinRavenVA
      @RockinRavenVA  Рік тому

      They can be turned to increase or decrease tension.

  • @SNNGS
    @SNNGS Рік тому

    Is the tension you get with this frame very taut? Comparable to a qsnap or a hoop? I know many scroll frames since the sides aren’t being pulled don’t pull as tight which is why I’ve been hesitant to get a scroll frame. I like it to be drum tight.

    Thank you for the demonstration. I was wondering can you use a scroll frame in place of a slate frame for Luneville embroidery?

    Thank you for the demo. I want to buy some scroll frames for bigger projects I will check them up. Is this company is the same company you got the floor stand from?

    • @RockinRavenVA
      @RockinRavenVA  8 років тому

      +Banan Felimban That is correct - same company. They make several different types of stands so no matter how you stitch, they have you covered. =)

    I am about to start my very first hardanger project but would like to work on a frame in order to attach my clip on magnifier. I am not very keen on a hoop as i am afraid pushing my fabric through the hoop could add unnecessary pressure and distort my work. Would you recommend this frame for hardanger ?

    Great video. What do you do if the width is wider than the width of the frame?

    • @RockinRavenVA
      @RockinRavenVA  8 років тому

      +xx courtr5877 Thank you! If the fabric width is a little wider than the scroll bar, I guess you could try folding the ends over, although it might make the piece too thick to fit in the slot. I have a variety of lokscroll widths so usually I can find one that fits, but for some projects, I have to stitch them in hand. Hope this helps!

    Can you use this scroll frame on the stiff needlepoint canvas and still have that bar inserted into that groove?

    • @RockinRavenVA
      @RockinRavenVA  3 роки тому

      No, only Aida or linen fabric can fit the grooves. Sorry!

    I have a narrow long project to make, 12 x 54, will it work in this?

    • @RockinRavenVA
      @RockinRavenVA  3 роки тому

      Hi Kathy, the widest frames they make are 30".

    • @lharris1682
      @lharris1682 3 роки тому

      You can load your fabric on the 12 inch side and roll the majority of the 54 inch side. (I'm assuming your project is vertical). )You would not need the 30 inch width frame. I bought the Master set and the Elan lap stand. Now I'm going back for the 30 inch scrolls for a large project. I also love the lap stand. Hope this helps.

    Very good demo, what is the name of your piece ??

    • @RockinRavenVA
      @RockinRavenVA  8 років тому

      +Deborah Graham Thank you so much! The piece is from the Jan/Feb 1996 issue of Cross Stitch & Country Crafts magazine and it's called Flower Shop. It is 3-D - there is another piece of fabric that goes under it which has the shop interior stitched over one. It's the only project I have stitched twice because it is so flippin' fun to do!

    Hi will this hold tapestry canvas?

    • @RockinRavenVA
      @RockinRavenVA  6 років тому

      I don't know. If it's any thicker than Aida cloth, then probably not. The slot is pretty narrow.

    • @linakoh4206
      @linakoh4206 6 років тому +1

      Thank you.. and you are right, judging from your video tutorial, it is just simply too narrow to fit. Thank you again
