- After being discharged from a psychiatric institution, Dez returns to her childhood home to assume the role of caregiver for her estranged mother, who is afflicted with early-onset dementia. However, her homecoming takes a surreal turn when she stumbles upon portals that lead her back to significant moments from her past. In these enigmatic encounters, she comes face-to-face with her eight-year-old self and is forced to confront an impending childhood tragedy that sends her life spiraling downward. As time slips away, Dez becomes consumed by an all-consuming desire to rewrite the painful chapter of her childhood. Engulfed in a race against fate, she becomes locked in a relentless battle to alter her past. Yet, the question lingers: will her obsession with changing her past ultimately unravel her future?

I like a good film where you have to view it over again to gain full understanding than the very first time you've seen it. I enjoyed the fantasy but also the message: We're are not meant to be stuck in the past trying to control the outcome. But with God's help we're are meant to move forward into what lies ahead.

THIS IS THE 2ND TIME I HAVE WATCHED THIS. THIS IS A GOOD MOVIE BUT STRANGE, DIFFERENT, UNUSUAL AND WELL WORTH A WATCH.
The past is there to teach us. The present is here to give us the tools to work on our lives. The future is a stranger we have yet to meet.
Let`s celebrate the fact that we are allowed to live in the present. Now is the only time when we don`t have to feel helpless.
the past modifies itself in the present to become the future.
Foolish to only live in the present. You wouldn't utilize only your living room because that's where you are most of the time. You need to go to the basement and attic (past/furure) yet you're not gonna live in those spaces full time.living in the present can make you ignore a crumbling foundation. Living in the present doesn't give you insight to act on the future.

Not too far into the movie, but the way it’s playing-out does a good-job of putting the Daughter (and Us, the Viewers) in the shoes of Someone who has Alzheimers.
It’ll be interesting to find-out if the changes in the movie are due to Time-shifts - or if Health is the source.
