As someone who doesn't have the steadiest hands, I hate having to line up small stickers. It's really anxiety inducing to only have a single shot at it, and if you screw up the look of the thing you just spent a lot of money on is ruined. That's what I hate most about stickers; if you place a piece wrong you can just take it off and redo, but with stickers you can't. Having a second stickers sheet, even if it's an identical one, would make the experience a lot less stressful for me I think.
The amount of stickers on the second (smaller!) car (40+) was just unbelievable. And the two small stickers that went into the corner of the windshield almost made me not finish the whole thing.
I appreciate this review. Didnt hold back on the issues with stickers but also able to highlight the real strengths of the set as well. The cars do look good!
72 stickers! It was so horrible! And why have they gone backwards - last year they upped their game when it came to printing on their windshields, but now, on the first car - its done by both prints and stickers?
There's never gonna be a satisfying build bc there will always be people mad. Either we get more stickers and a cheaper set or more prints and a more expensive set. Either way it's about money. I don't mind stickers as long as they are printed properly and don't look too bad when applied. The printing sometimes needs better color matching but for the most part more then 3/4 of the stuff lego prints is on point. Except of its like white print, or light colors on darker colors. That's something that needs to be addressed and fixed. It's been a problem for quite some time now
The reason for the red flowers in the mustang as far as I can tell is for the hood section - it’s a subtle thing but the hollow red studs are hollow all the way through but the red flowers are not, just hollow at the top. I imagine it allows them to control a very specific depth for that front grill assembly
I think ultimately the liveries of the actual cars was always going to be an issue. If they continue to do race cars they’re going to have to address that because those stickers look awful. IMO it’s unacceptable especially when the price keeps going up.
This car looks really good in person. Like most Speed Champions cars, they all look better in person than on photos. A lot of people will get mad at me, but I really do love the option for stickers more than prints. My reasoning being is that I am a MOC maker. So, when I want to either use pieces from this build on other cars or modify official Speed Champions car, I can place the stickers at the very end of my custom built version. Like for my Dark Horse, I brick-built the tail-lights but I wish I could use the Logo for the rear instead of it being a print on the 1x6 tile. Just my opinion
Man I really hope LEGO does more themed Speed Champions sets. I’d love to see Speed Racer’s Mach 5 in this line, and I feel like it’s a perfect fit. Fingers crossed 🤞🗿
I've been building a couple of building sets from CaDA lately and they have the proper, full fit, stickers. I agree, they are the way to go. It takes more effort to apply, but you are always rewarded for your effort, which I appreciate!
also driver suits are very poor in terms of detail. i just want them to start recreating the actual race liveries with sponsors and the proper driver suits like they sued to do. the c8r is a good example of a proper racing livery.
I got this set a few days ago and there are some awesome build techniques. I'm mostly satisfied with this one. Though I haven't spent the painful hours of applying stickers yet. It looks interesting...
I’m glad they are using the BMW license in the Speed Champions line. Would love to see an E30 M3 since it seems the shape of that car would lend itself well to LEGO form
I love this set so much, The sticker part was very tedious but once its done it looks so much better. When I am looking at the m4 from far way, it doesnt even look like lego, it has the silloutte of an m4 gt3 and I think thats absolutely amazing.
Those are some cool cars. But man, what a sticker nightmare! Yes, all prints would be preferable. With all these stickers and how they're designed, I've been thinking the Speed Champions are more like model car kits for a while. But, even with model car kits, those slide on decals can be adjusted. Stickers it's a lot more difficult. And even if you use the technique of not fully placing the sticker to adjust it, it's still really annoying, and sometimes, the sticker decides to just go down all the way on its own.
The M4 looks a little short... I have that car as a slot car in multiple scales and they are long for GT3 cars, but I will say Lego did a pretty good job capturing the paint scheme.
I loved the colors of this set. Putting together a Lego set is so relaxing. But having just put together a largely stickered set, oh gosh the anxiety. No fun at all!
Ok, that's gone beyond ridiculous, right past ludicrous, and straight to plaid with the stickers 😂. I like speed champs, but I'm not getting this set because I have diplopia and so you can imagine my frustration with them.
Lego really needs to get it together when it comes to the quality if their stickers and prints. Complex designs like the ones featured in these sets and severely dimished by the sub par quality that many of their stickers offer, both in shape and print quality. It's disappointing to see that as they improve in many other aspects such as part variety and design that they let these other aspects stagnate. They used to be the industry leaders in all aspects of brick built models but with these recent showings for stickers and prints, it often feels like their competitors have them beat in those regards. It really makes you not want to use stickers at all on official sets when they often lead to relatively disappointing results
Heya Jang 👋 Love these... they look awesome... I am a big fan of GT sports car racing, IMSA, Lemans Cup etc. really good to see Lego taking this form of racing and it's cars seriously in keeping it realistic. very cool set, love to see Porsche and Ferrari lotus etc. Thanks Jangster ❤
I agree with a lot here, probably because I'm also a car guy at the same sort of level. Main point is, speed champions have raised the bar so high lately that they are getting into "uncanny valley" with things like windscreens and wheels. In my opinion the windscreen is far worse than the size of the wheels, although I hate that the tires are sticking out so much on these ones. But windscreens have been my biggest issue for a long time. They have gotten better with the wrap-around style ones for race- and super-cars introduced in the last wave. Now they really need one or two new ones for street car shapes. I would like to see one that is 6-wide at the base but 5-wide at the roof, which would have made the M4 in this set look so much more appropriate!
Seeing them do a roll cage for the interior of these race cars makes me hope they do more nascar style cars but more rally cars would also be cool but the stickers would be a nightmare on those cars
Wow that's alot of stickers 😮. Great looking cars love the LMP1 and the GT3 M4, I think they nailed it especially with the prototype. I'm just happy they did the game controller printed for the steering wheel. The mercedes w12 missed out on that 1 but the new mclaren f1 car got it thankfully. I hope they keep making more LMP and Gt3 cars along with F1.
Why is it so difficult for a multi billion dollar company to A, figure out how to print the same colour as the plastic and B, widen stickers by several tenths of a millimeter to cover a larger area?
I love speed champions, and about to build this set, but the day they get rid of stickers will be a very happy day. If it means the set will be $50 instead of $45 then so be it. Proportions aside, I really love the look of the M4
I just built the Hybrid V8 last night, still have to build the LMP3. Loved the build on the V8, but my sticker sheet was cut completely wrong and the BMW logo was sliced off in multiple places and multiple stickers had a stripe of the wrong color at the edges. Very disappointing. If these sets are going to be so reliant on stickers, they need to be good stickers with good colors that are cut properly.
I may grab this set cause i love the lmp bmw alot and m4 is kinda nice (im not a fan of the newer m4s at times looks a little alpha Romeo at the front) but the paint scheme looks nearly spot on and ngl they could have done a bit better with the stickers especially on the m4.
To me, this is a case of the problem with the two packs is that I like the Hybrid car but not the M4 GT3. This isn't the first two pack where this happens for me.
The big snorkels on reallife bmws isn't really my thing, but somehow I really enjoy this m4 gt3in Lego form. (Although I will say that the more ridiculously "racecar" these bmw's are the more I'm cool with the exeggerated shaping of the nostrils)
Can you please try to remake the cars but with a single color ? ..... I really want to see the m4 especially in full black ..... I think it would look cool ..... Great review as always btw
Waterslide Decals how about for the serious modeler/collectors; rather than a second sticker sheet they go full on waterslides, with No Precuts at all.
I’m really torn on this one. First BMW which I’m a fan of, but the prototype is close enough to the porsche to not differentiate that much, so it hangs on the GT4. And it just feels noisy and messy to me. I’d love to see an older model like an E46 but thats very unlikely.
I don't use stickers... so i get bothered about the headlights and the car's symbol in many speed champion sets being stickered details... it is the identity of the cars that is in jeopardy, Lego needs to pay atention to that !
That canopy sticker decision is just ridiculous. Supposed to be white, but comes out so obviously gray. That is just blatant carelessness on Lego's part. They really should be ashamed.
The colour scheme on the M4 is confusing me. One one hand I love that they have tried to replicate that complex colour scheme but on the other hand I find the stickers that don't align very annoying. I can't make up my mind if good or bad has the upper hand.
The stickers don’t bother me as much on these types of cars. It’s to be expected. However, the actual design bothers me more. Usually love all the Speed Champions sets (one of my fav themes) but if I’m being honest, I don’t think these look that good. The subject matter hasn’t translated very well into Lego.
That is way too many stickers for me. I'm liking the builds for this wave. Too bad the Quality Control on the stickers really takes away from how good it looks. I don't know anything about the real life counterpart to these cars.
honestly like... that sticker sheet ruins this set for me. I can appreciate that the build is interesting, but if I have to deal with all that just to have the end result look decent, and it's no longer anywhere near close to in scale with a minifig, I'm just... not sure this is worth sticking with for me. Maybe some of the more street focused ones will hold better interest for me, but these racecars are just too much, which sucks because I /love/ motorsports
Lego needs to stop making stickers and just commit to prints. The stickers just decrease the quality of the set imho and looks bad when it is supposed to get details in there that you couldn't and fails at making those details look good. However, if they do prints then they need to increase the print quality because lego seems to have poor print quality at times
Oh man, I am twitching and a bit sick from how many stickers this set has. Yuck. Great work by Jang! Nice Lego cars! But I will avoid these assiduously. The sticker-ganza ruins this set for me.. and I don't think I'm alone here..
If you buy stickers, you get more stickers. Boycot stickers and lego will be forced to get rid of m. Easier said then done of course, but I don't buy lego with stickers out of principle.

The GT3 looks so ugly, the windshield piece is at least a plate too high. It looks like a cartoon version of the car. Still got the set, gotta catch them all. But I might not build this one.

GREY FRICTIONLESS PIN-AXLE IS BACK LETS GOOOO
Great idea with second stickers sheet for collectors/adult builders! Love it! I hope somebody will tell this idea to designers team.
Its cheaper. They don't care about bringing you the highest possible quality, they're trying to save money
There's never gonna be a satisfying build bc there will always be people mad. Either we get more stickers and a cheaper set or more prints and a more expensive set. Either way it's about money. 71 stickers is nuts.

I hope soon we get a speed champions beetle and a classic 911
I’ve actually always enjoyed putting smaller stickers on sets, although nothing beats a printed piece in terms of quality.
Quick glance, these look absolutely beautiful
Insane amount of stickers! It's got to be a record for a Speed Champions set!
I love this set so much, The sticker part was very tedious but once its done it looks so much better. When I am looking at the m4 from far way, it doesnt even look like lego, it has the silloutte of an m4 gt3 and I think thats absolutely amazing.

This is the only speed champions set from March that I haven’t bought yet and I’m not convinced. I’d buy the prototype if it was sold separately
The M4 looks a little short... I have that car as a slot car in multiple scales and they are long for GT3 cars, but I will say Lego did a pretty good job capturing the paint scheme.
im surprised we dont have a reprolabels type company thats producing custom sticker sheets for lego sets
I loved the colors of this set. Putting together a Lego set is so relaxing. But having just put together a largely stickered set, oh gosh the anxiety. No fun at all!

11:26 That grey part in the middle is the 80s classic space part, interesting to that part still being made.
Just finished this set glad I got it because all the negative reviews they look great in person just get tweezers for stickers it helps
I agree with a lot here, probably because I'm also a car guy at the same sort of level. I used the black boarder on the sticker sheet to fill in the gaps, its certainly not perfect but its a lot better
Shouldn't the LMP be smaller than the GT?
Wow that's alot of stickers 😮. Great looking cars love the LMP1 and the GT3 M4, I think they nailed it especially with the prototype. Thanks for the warning Jang! I recommend people get flat head tweezers to apply Lego stickers especially this set.
Why is it so difficult for a multi billion dollar company to A, figure out how to print the same colour as the plastic and B, widen stickers by several tenths of a millimeter to cover a larger area?

The paint scheme on these vehicles is pure evil. 😂
I may grab this set cause i love the lmp bmw alot and m4 is kinda nice (im not a fan of the newer m4s at times looks a little alpha Romeo at the front) but the paint scheme looks nearly spot on and ngl they could have done a bit better with the stickers especially on the m4.
Great wave of speed champions this is. cannot wait for the summer release though
To me, this is a case of the problem with the two packs is that I like the Hybrid car but not the M4 GT3. This isn't the first two pack where this happens for me.
A SLOPED GRATE WITHOUT THE GRATE?! oooooh it's christmas
The increased prices for the product cannot be justified by the quality of the stickers. That is all I can say...
I was waiting for this review! I love both of these cars, just wish the LEGO versions were slightly better looking
M4 sounds a cool build, but omg, these stickers.
Thanks for the review Jang!
Heat extraction hood vents need too be bbq grills white n black
The big snorkels on reallife bmws isn't really my thing, but somehow I really enjoy this m4 gt3in Lego form.

Instead of two types of stickers (with and without margin), I want LEGO to presticker the parts - perfectly! ^^
Criminy, there's only one actual word in the set name
Waterslide Decals
how about for the serious modeler/collectors; rather than a second sticker sheet they go full on waterslides, with No Precuts at all.
Omg so many stickers 😮
My hands get a bit sweaty when it comes to applying stickers! 😅 I've had to resort to asking one of my daughters for help when applying them lol
😊greater!🎉 marvelous exposition! As always!
I like to cut out the stickers myself, there's a little bit of a seem where lego cut it but it's better than nothing
I’m in disbelief over how many stickers are in this thing, I’m honestly just going to apply all of them first to not ruin the build experience
Great and informative video. Those stickers! To hard for me.
Oh wow, what a looker of a set!
At the bare minimum, just provide a few copies of the sticker sheets to account for mess ups. It can’t cost more than a few cents to do.
I'm not a car guy, but I love the trans black windshields. The minifigures are also really nice to me, but the white mark is weird and pointless.
Not trying to be a hater, because I quite like most of the 8 wide SC sets. But that M4 looks absolutely ATROCIOUS
I have most of the 2022 cars, all of the 2023 cars, and I intend to get all of the 2024 cars
Have collected all the SC cars till the latest Jame Bond one and never applied a single sticker on them... just wanted to share this, dont mind me.
I’m really torn on this one. First BMW which I’m a fan of, but the prototype is close enough to the porsche to not differentiate that much, so it hangs on the GT4. And it just feels noisy and messy to me. I’d love to see an older model like an E46 but thats very unlikely.

Yeah, I really hate how lego does their stickers. If you're gonna make us use them at least make them big enough!
Could the flower piece vs hollow studs being used for pricing on the two cars?
Hi, what mercedes single pack are you referring to?
Are these new wheels compatible/interchangeable with the other 2024 Speed Champions cars?
That canopy sticker decision is just ridiculous. Supposed to be white, but comes out so obviously gray. That is just blatant carelessness on Lego's part. They really should be ashamed.
I always love your video's, maybe time for shorts? Its a great way of advertising your channel
The colour scheme on the M4 is confusing me. One one hand I love that they have tried to replicate that complex colour scheme but on the other hand I find the stickers that don't align very annoying. I can't make up my mind if good or bad has the upper hand.
M4 is a really good looking car buut, I would like to see the m8 competition in lego, way better design.
Only Jang can put all those stickers on properly. I have to pass on the set because I am horrible with stickers

Wait what?! Those prices for you peeps in usa and canada are without taxes on top?!
Nice!
Oh man, I am twitching and a bit sick from how many stickers this set has. Yuck. Great work by Jang! Nice Lego cars! But I will avoid these assiduously. The sticker-ganza ruins this set for me.. and I don't think I'm alone here..
The biiig greenhouse and tiny wheels are putting me off sadly
Printed pieces cuts down build time but lasts longer. But once it's scratched then it's game over.
If you buy stickers, you get more stickers. Boycot stickers and lego will be forced to get rid of m. Easier said then done of course, but I don't buy lego with stickers out of principle.
I reckon you haven't bought any lego in ages, then 😅
@@KuchenwurstThere's tons of sets without stickers.
I didn't like these when seen the pictures and I still don't like them having watched this review a easy pass. The most disappointing thing is this is BMW's first appearance as Lego cars, they had so much better models past and present to emulate than these. I'm not sold on these LM cars and even F1 cars being regular staples for speed champions. Now give me that F40 in August.
The builds and techniques look interesting enough to warrant a buy but I most likely won’t bother with the stickers. Wish Lego would develop more sets less reliant on stickers. The more stickers I see the more I boycott.
Personally I think all bmws are ugly cars but these look very well build besides the amount of stickers
the age recommendation on this is 9+ lol
Ahhh to be a 10yo and have to deal with those stickers
Oh golly. I always like to be more positive about Lego, but come on. Like, that obscene amount of stickers is just shameful, and the set is worse for it. I don't know if I'm being too harsh, but it just looks pretty bad to me.
The GT3 looks so ugly, the windshield piece is at least a plate too high. It looks like a cartoon version of the car. Still got the set, gotta catch them all. But I might not build this one.
