This is so helpful thank you so much! I just wanted to provide one little extra tip regarding if you missed a waypoint. If this happens, and you don’t want to direct back to it, you can go in the dialogue box to talk to ATC and click on Cancel IFR and it should then just say to go to the airport rather than the waypoints🙌
I've been watching Jeff Favigano tutorial for the Vision Jet. Yours is really in depth. Both are very helpful. Been flying MSFS for years (over 30) but never got around to learning the FMC. I'm a lot more motivated to learn the G3000. Thank You.
Thank you for these awesome videos, they have really helped me understand using auto pilot on the vision jet and the use of navigation. Looking forward to the next video.
GREAT video Kip. This type of video is a "Twofer", not only do we get to know the plane we also get a detail editorial on the navigation system. There is nothing wrong with each but combining them is a big win for us. Thanks for putting in all the time to produce and edit this video and the future ones! !! !!!
The same clarity and quality as I've been accustomed for a couple of years already. Now I want to replicate this flight. Thanks Kip. :-) Your videos help me enjoy the sim with a factor of at least 5x.
Thanks for the help easing us into 2024 with this series. Looking forward to Pt3 and more? Hope to see you in the pc12 as well. Re trees in front of the runway… that seems to be a common “feature” in MSFS.
Thanks for the video. I gotta say you have a talent for clear and precise explaining. Learned a lot even while asking you on stream! Really helping out a rookie pilot here so i dont have to pay so much insurance fees 😄
These are by far the best video on MSFS ! Can't wait for part 3, hopefully with ILS ! Thanks again ! Might be a little too late, but yesterday, trying to activate the ILS approach (APR button) I had a warning telling me that it wasn't / won't follow the GPS and basically make me start again. Do I have to arm the approach before the 1st point, otherwise it's too late ?
The warning when loading an ILS approach is just there to remind you not to rely on any GPS guidance for the approach itself, since an ILS uses radio navigation instead. You can just acknowledge the warning and continue with flying the approach.
The runways they have you land on with the Vision Jet in career mode are sometimes the size of postage stamps, many with obstacles right at the end of the runway. Several times I've flown to an airport only to find it almost un-landable, in which case I've aborted the mission just to save my jet from a crash.
Great instructions. I followed them closely but even with at off and ap disengaged in fact all auto assists, when on final manually flying the throttle keeps trying to override me. Am I missing some?
It's honestly a PAIN on Xbox! If you can, attaching a compatible mouse would be the easiest way. But, if you can only use a controller, I recommend going into your Control settings and finding a way to bind a button combination to "Instrument View 3". This will move the camera to a nice position where you can see all the screens at once. Using that camera preset will freeze the camera to the screens, so it won't bounce around with the plane's movement. Then, you can enable cursor mode (which is RB+L3 I believe) to interact with the touchscreens, knobs, and buttons. After using the screens, return to the default pilot view by pressing R3.
Thank you! Definitely going to use a mouse because RB + L3 is nowhere near as precise. I got a joystick yesterday and my aim is to fly to every country possible using the vision jet. I've only started playing this game for a month but I'm addicted! Looking forward to your other Vision Jet videos
Top notch tutorial. Well done. One question, I cannot find a binding for this particular aircraft to change the LOC1/2 course needle. Do you know of anyway to change it?? Additionaly, is there anyway to add passenger avatars in Free Flight, I have tried adding passenger wt but no spunky chicks show up
Jo, I highly awate youre next Video. I love flying this plane in msf 2024. However landing it for me is sooo difficult. Just today there was so much fogg i couldent See anything. And it seems that for Missions they always choose landing areas without any ils and the landing sloaps are so scuffed. Mostly Grass or very short landing areas
Thank you so much for making a detailed video about vision G2. But I still getting “iced flaps” even though I followed the anti-ice method in Part 1. Any idea how to fix it? Anybody
I'm pretty sure it's a bug, because it's meant to prevent the flaps from being extended to 100% in icing conditions, but you can still use 100% flaps when the message shows. It may just be a message that always appears when under 5C OAT. It's supposed to be able to be cleared using the MFD controller, under Aircraft Systems, then "IPS stall offset reset", but that button isn't implemented.
Often when I'm still above the approach speed the plane increases the throttle because I'm supposedly below minimum speed (says so on the top left on the PFD). Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
It's up to you if you want to use AT or not, but I use it in this series. Check out part 1 where I go over setting it up before takeoff: ua-cam.com/video/lHTTId3IJwo/v-deo.html
The Vision Jet can only be in TO power for 5 mins, and the jet is most likely giving you a warning that time is up or a reminder to throttle back. A good rule of thumb is at 1000 ft AGL throttle back to MCT (max continuous thrust). This is at the top end of the green arch in your FADEC CH A thrust telemetry. This green arch changes with your alt but once you set your throttle manually or with auto throttle your thrust will stay at MCT.
This is so helpful thank you so much! I just wanted to provide one little extra tip regarding if you missed a waypoint. Really appreciate your 2 videos. It's really helpful for a noob like me. Keep it up and maybe you can extend this series to the Pilatus PC12 😉
Liked and subbed. Just bought my vision jet yesterday and saw your video. Super easy to understand. Waiting for Part 3!
The same clarity and quality as I've been accustomed for a couple of years already. Now I want to replicate this flight. Thanks Kip. :-) Your videos help me enjoy the sim with a factor of at least 5x.
very helpful, looking forward to pt 3
Amazing videos. I am in awe of your dedication to the sim.

Great job with the explanations, well done. Subbed. 👍🏾

Thanks Kip! I haven't got there yet, but I will definitely be coming back to this video again!
Amazing as usual! Thanks a bunch mate
Thank you! I've been waiting on this one! Did not disappoint. Well Explained. Thank you
Amazing mate - keep in doing these types of videos so informative
Very very appreciated!
You are incredible. Thank you so much. Please add more membership levels so I can give you more money lol
Love the videos Kip!
Well done Kip!
Thank you
Waiting for the other landing modes video
You’re the best…thanks Kip!
Extremely helpful sir 🙏
what do you do if you do all these steps , you get the "path" but the TOD does not give a time?
another very helpfull video!
These are by far the best video on MSFS ! Can't wait for part 3, hopefully with ILS ! Thanks again !

When are we getting the next parts! This series is great.
Is there a shortcut for lining up the camera with the screens in Xbox?

Several times I've flown to an airport only to find it almost un-landable, in which case I've aborted the mission just to save my jet from a crash.
Thank you! May i also request a guide for the Heart Aerospace ES-30 ?
Can't wait for the ils I nearly have the vision mastered just low LVL clouds make it tough

This maybe a silly question, but how do you show that Current VNAV Profile at 5:24 on the MFD? I can't seem to find it in the settings.
00:24 :-)
PFD, Map Settings, Inset Window
@KipOnTheGround Well, I feel like an idiot now... Thanks for the reply and the informative videos, Kip!
Does the visual descent only descend to the altitude selected from the "final" waypoint and after that you follow the glides glidescope manually?
Thabk you! Following this series closely. How do you access these touch screen menus on an xbox? Or is there a different way to access them?
It's honestly a PAIN on Xbox!

I play on XBox with a plain controller. Why can’t I interact with the screens???
You can. You have to do "RB + L stick" before interacting with the screens. I dont know why do we need that because it is not very practical.

Great video!
How is your button "charts" active? Is it modded plane?
Because my plane has no settings for simbrief...
It’s part of Navigraph, which is a paid subscription add-on for PC
Please, someone can explane me why the TOD doesn't work with me? I can see "path" but the time doesn't appear!
Hi do i use the autothrust while in AP for the cirrus ? do you need to add it to the flight plan somewhere ?
It's up to you if you want to use AT or not, but I use it in this series. Check out part 1 where I go over setting it up before takeoff: ua-cam.com/video/lHTTId3IJwo/v-deo.html
Hi, why do I have warning takeoff thrust? How can I correct that? Thanks
The Vision Jet can only be in TO power for 5 mins, and the jet is most likely giving you a warning that time is up or a reminder to throttle back. Hoe do I change the baro setting from inch HG to millibars. I am in Europe. Great video!
Thanks! On the PFD touchscreen, click PFD Settings, press Down a couple times until you find it.
Gotta try vison jet in vr
Insane experience…
They are there for me too… (trees) exactly like that, so the sim put them there for everyone
was waiting for this video! watching... 🥸🫡👊
