There was an interesting post that ziostorm posted on his twitter that he’d seen from TikTok talking about miquella’s curse.
It states that maybe his curse wasn’t eternal childhood but nascency which means that anything he starts will never see fruition. His haligtree never grew to rival the erdtree, he never cured his sister of rot, he never revived godwyn and he never ushered in his age of compassion. His eternal youth also symbolises his inability to complete life’s cycle of growing old and dying. The eternal childhood thing can also be a reference to how many children find it hard to complete a task. Just food for thought.
You know that prattling pate you get,so if you use it during the Lamenter fight at the end of that cave, the real one will start crying when you have to figure out which one he is. I just did it the other night. Figured lamentation pate, it must work in the fight. Sure enough.

Just use the relic sword and kill them all in one swipe. That’s the easiest method. Lol

Use the new torch AoW that makes you invisible or assassin's gambit or hidden body to deal with the "Death Eyes" in the catacombs. And surprisingly, mimic veil works on them too 😂. I was sneaking past them looking like a candle stick and other things, k8nda funny.

Does Mimic Veil bug out after you transform, to show your character model still walking around with the disguise sliding along with you? Since the second major patch for the base game, that's what mine has done. My Mimic Veil has been bugged forever now... -_-

if you get the jolan spirit ashes you can add Anna to them by interacting with Anna's puppet body (you can also undo this by reactivating Anna ). Anna is found in Rabbarth's rise but you need to drop down from the back of shaman village in to the top of the tower

If you talk to Freyja after summoning her for the Divine Beast kill, and ask her about her damaged helm, she'll tell you that she was dying of Scarlet Rot and Miquella found her and saved her, so her injury matches that story.
Sometimes, the gods of readiness and random allow you to beat a hard boss in one go without dying after traversing the entire location.

I'm not sure if this is known already or not, but I found it while watching this and may as well share. The Nectarblood Burgeons you find near St. Trina can drop from the sleeping animals before the Putrescent Knight.

Has anyone looked at the boss fight before St Trina and thought that could be Leonard, Radahn’s steed? Also, with now knowing Miquella manipulated everyone, does Melania’s phrase “the blade of miquella” show she was compelled too?

I saw something cool that might be lore. Some people think the putrescent knight is the remains of starscourge radahn. Alexander took his flesh, and so the skeleton is all that remains. The weapon is also curved like radahn's sword, just adorned with skeletons.
Black Steel Twinblade with the "Aspect of the Crucible Wings" ash of war. When put on a twinblade instead of flying up and just thrusting down you get a spinning effect as well as the further holy imbuement damage increase!
when it comes to the maps... a couple things
first off, the maps have no correlation. what i mean by that is that if you put your cursor on a spot in the default map it stays in that spot regardless of where you move the cursor in the shadow map. and vica versa. so if you put your cursor over yourself in the shadow map its not gonna show you your hypothetical location in the base game map.
second, on that picture of the map being overlayed with the shadow map, the tower is south west of the cloud and not in the center.
There's a lot of larval tears in the dlc but you can only find them at night. I found about 10 or so and there might be more.
Only 9 tears confirmed and you are correct, its only at night.

The mimic tear item tip is a good one I know but always neglect-great reminder!

If you're having trouble making jumps in the flooded area of Shadow keep, use AoW to do it. There's some like Waterfoul Dance, the cragblade AoW and a few others that will "jump" you safely.
It might be worth noting that the mimic tear will use the Marika the second they get any kind of status effect on it. Really frustrating.

The first pole looks like the madness boss
There are a lot of mobs in the DLC. I carried the Sacred Relic Sword as a back up weapon in my first playthrough which really helped take out the mobs with it's ash, "Wave of Gold". It made the Lamenter fight very easy in that Gaol. Also make sure to put the beast torch to good use in the Abysmal Forest.
The raw meat dumpling will also heal the mimic tear 100% and they won't use any out of your inventory and the mimic tier can use as many as they want. You just have to make sure you don't use them because they can poison you, but the mimic tear doesn't get poisoned
For real? That's dope
why does getting poisoned matter? bolusses exist...

They're good for procing kindred of rot talisman and getting a heal

Also the Divine tower of Lurinia grace completely lines up with the Divine front Gates site of grace. Radahn being Son of Renalla and Sister to Ranni may have some sort of lore connection to this.

I 100% subscribe to the idea that the DLC is underneath the clouds in the center. Looking at how the tree lines up with Cardinal directions both in-game and on the map. And there are several other things that help convice me that this is infact true.
I was so certain that the hooded figure in the trailer was going to be the Gloam Eyed Queen, I was 100% sure, only for it to be Romina 😂
I feel like the last point is kind of moot. The stone tablet at the top of the Tower Of Suppression specifically states that it exists at the very center of The Lands Between.

*Spoiler warning*I was looking up Samurai armor in other Souls games and saw that Sir Alonne in Dark Souls 2 has nearly the same Helmet as Ansbach. Sir Alonne also wields a weapon that causes heavy bleed damage and his Knights are armed with Bow which Ansbach seems to drop a Bow, also has blood arts attacks and his Scythe also does bleed damage. Sir Alonne also serves an upcoming Lord, Ansbach serves Lord Mogh. Ansbach story is that he was a formidable warrior back in his youth and maybe his younger years he was known as Sir Alonne. They are also DLC characters and their names start with A.

I'm curious about the church of manus celes in regards to it's relevance to the church of manus metyr. Rannis finger was massive and seemed more than a 2 finger almost when you find it and ranni underneath. Does that make her fingers the "celes"? Is there a finger ruin somewhere underneath manus celes?

No romina didnt get the scarlet rot till mesmer burned down her church is was hidden there and she found it after the fire so why would marika send him to attack directly she was just a bystander of his purge of the hornsent

really wish both the weapon and incantation from romina were better, they both look so pretty but feel so bad.

I tried to have my Mimic use the Blessing of Marika in the Consort Radahn fight and my Mimic would not use it. I tried 20-30 times and not once. They had to have changed it in recent patch. I had my 2 Flasks, Wondrous Physick, Boiled Crabs, Rot Pots, and Blessing of Marika in my Equipment Quick Item slots. My Mimic used everything except for Blessing of Marika.
I have discovered that you can use the Danes footwork and the the first 5 hits of its string then use different types of ash of wars on the dueling thrusting shield and it will change the animation of the obsidian lomina the two ashes of war I used in particular were flame spear and impaling thrust
Did you know you can veer while using the spinning gravity thrust and completely change direction for the second input?

It would be really fukin cool if the next dlc is accessed by something like godwyn/deathblight returning the "giantest" drake in the realm of shadow back to ...uh..."life" and it breaking the suppressing pillar as it flies to consume the corpse of godwyn.
First, it could have the shadowtree and its realm returned to the lands between, causing significant destruction and offering new places or reworking old places to explore, and the final boss of the whole ordeal could be the absolutely epic conjoining of the body and soul of godwyn and hugedrake(tm).
Imagine fighting something almost three times bigger than the dragon god from demon souls, something thats two city sized corpses melded together, writhing with lightning and disease, where phase two has you impaled by a deathblight spear and dragged i side the carcass, where the rotten heart of the newborn corpse god never beats.
Could even be hidden ending(s) depending on how you handle the last phase... heal the heart like you would a revenant, though not as easily ofc, and the deathblight could be reversed entirely; or kill it to rid the land of the blight. Maybe using frenzyflame could even bring things close to the flame ending, and "Melina, God of Gloam" is somehow a secret final *final* fight.

There is a new incantation or item I can’t find!!! I seen it in the ign preview the knight looks like he is blowing a kiss and a little bomb goes towards the enemy and then explodes
Plz do a Thiollier needle build it staggers enemies quickly and you can buff it cause it does magic damage and has good reposte damage

can mimic use the 4 additional pocket slots ? if not then move all items the mimic wont use there, like Horse, lantern, etc
If you think the pole blade of the bud is bad in the pve meta you must not play ofthen its pretty much out there with the top halberd in therm of dps. Really quick awsome move set and you got rot on on top. If you think it suck you either didnt try it or you suck at stat allocation....

... now I'm realizing why my mimic never heals itself. I keep the health/fp flasks in the quick select rather than the consumable area so I can pop them on the fly without worrying about using the wrong item by mistake. so of course the mimic won't use it...
wait, i keep my flasks in the pouch… i wonder if my mimic still heals, i never noticed if they did or not.
@@chlorinemist4735 assuming I'm right, this means if you keep the Marika full heal in the consumables area, it should have a 100% chance to heal with that instead of the flasks. I have to test this now.

Just try moving around the shadow realm and occasionally switch he map view between land of shadow and lands between - couple of steps in the shadows translate to jump across the whole map in lands between- as if the land of shadow existed outside space/time .
I thought that the mysterious figure holding the pole could have been Melina holding Messmers spear. Since the evidence is almost 99% that she is his younger sister it could be that she mourned his passing (after our fight).

The shadow figure from the trailer’s weapon looks more like the Greatsword of Damnation to me. The story would be pretty much the same as Romina though. Just the silhouette matches the spirals of Midra’s weapon more.

I didn't realize the blessing of Marika was single use. Found 2 in my first 3 hours and used them both not realizing. I scorched the tree early on not knowing it was a point of no return, blocking me from npc side quests. I enjoyed the dlc, but their should be a warning prompt easily blocking you from these decisions. Trying my best to start over
