  • This short video illustrated the capabilities of the Toposens 3D Collision Avoidance System:
    With a Field-of-View of up to 160° in ultra-close range (from 100 mm), the 3D Ultrasonic Echolocation Sensor ECHO ONE® utilizes an ultra-wide opening angle and minimal blind zone for maximum detection of multiple objects in its vicinity. With it being a sound-based sensing technology, even "difficult-to-see" objects, such as black forklift forks, floor-based objects, or obstacles with transparent, shiny or mirrored surfaces are reliably detected by the ECHO ONE®. Standard optical sensor systems, especially in 1D or 2D, tend to struggle to detect such objects reliably enough.
    The Toposens Processing Unit offers a fully dynamic, adjustable warning zone (yellow in this video) and stopping zones (red in this video) within the Field-of-view. Depending on which zone is violated (= object detected within), the Toposens Processing Unit triggers either a “slow down” or “stop” command to the mobile robot’s CPU. When no zone violations are detected, the mobile robot drives on. This is done via digital IOs or Ethernet.
    Together, the Toposens ECHO ONE® and Toposens Processing Unit provide any mobile robot with next-level robotic safety, to increase its operational efficiency and safety, and to decrease the number of accidents associated with insufficient collision avoidance systems.

      Hello Ankur, yes it is IP67, CE and FCC certified. Our latest 3D ultrasonic echolocation sensor for 3D collision avoidance is a commercial version of the predecessor and fully integrable as either retrofit or design-in. Hope that helps...
