You think its possible that with Chris Evans saying he's gonna take a break from Cap when his Marvel contract is up, that Bucky takes up the shield and we get Winter Soldier as Cap in the MCU?

I think it's funny about that joke of "The only people in comics who stay dead are Bucky, Jason Todd, and Uncle Ben" then in 2005 suddenly 2/3 of that statement don't apply any more (SPOILERS: Jason Todd & Bucky come back b a b y !) 😂

There are many videos on UA-cam, that tell the story of Winter Soldier (or other comicbook characters). But it keeps me wondering why nobody says anything about the historical context (our, real world) of the creation and development of them. In case of the Winter Soldier it's probably the most surprising, because there was the Winter Soldier investigation in 1971 about war crimes American soldiers committed during Vietnam and in 2008 in Iraq. I seriously doubt the creators had no idea about it. I'd love to know what is the relationship and how did/does/didn't influence the Winter Soldier.
I collected them till Brubaker and Guice left . This was nice comic from when Bucky escaped the Gulag to some cool bad guys . I liked Guice's artwork though heavy coloring was part of his art that reminds me of Steranko .
Hey can someone please explain to me how the marvel/ DC timelines work cause I'm lost on how the same heroes like the human torch and the like can be alive in the 1920s-40s and also still be alive in modern day. Like I get with Bucky and cap with the whole suspended animation stuff but what about the others?
sonerec725 Well… it's comic books so it's a number of things,generally it's something along the lines of, a reboot or a time line reset, their abilities or outside forces like the golden fruits that the gods of Asgard eat slow down their aging, or said character does die but something happens and they either get brought back to life,reincarnated, or someone else takes up the mantle and becomes that hero… or it's a clone. Definitely check if it's a clone. I hope that's a decent explanation
Bucky explained when he was prisoner to the Captain America from the 50s that went rogue that story of him walking in on Cap changing was just a story. He was being groomed to be Steve Rogers side kick from the start.
Jason died in the original Pre Nu52 thanks to The Joker. In fact, he did die in the Nu52 as well but how he came back was changed. The original way was, I believe, Superboy Prime punching the multiverse... something stupid like that, causing him to craw out of his grave. The Nu52 resurrection was better done as it was Ra's al Ghul stole his body and used the Lazarus Pit on him.
Both Pre, and new 52 Jason Todd were placed in a lazarus pit, in pre he was because after he crawled outta his grave(after the sb-prime punch), he was pretty much brain dead...:)
