congrats on getting your job! videos on the GRE and internships would be great! a topic I am interested in is any advice you have on finding a path after graduation (finding a career vs. going to grad school).
Are the WV classes you took for prereq for grad programs in slp? Were the four classes the entire classes you need for prereq or will you be taking more? Taking the rest at WV or another college? Could you list the specific classes you took
The west valley classes you took are just for the side classes (science etc) for grad slp right? Those are not the equivalent for the undergrad csd classes, then how are you going to take the actual csd undergrad classes you need for the grad slp?
You Every grad programs has its own individual prerequisites aside from the ASHA core content areas. I have only applied to programs where the prerequisites are incorporated into the graduate program during the first semester, so that is when I will complete those.
Congratulations! As I suggested to you sometime ago, “Yes!” to your applying to graduate school journey! The GRE process, personal/statement of purpose essays, etc. Your transfer videos of your journey going from WVC to UCLA have been informative and helpful. I am very sure your applying to graduate school journey will be just as informative.
Congratulations on the job offer! Please do a video on internships 🤗🤗. I'm going to college soon and I would be happy to receive some tips from you about getting an internship.
Psyched to see you back. Please do cover more UCLA stuff. I have an M.A. in TESL and after a gap year I want to apply for PhD. there. I would love to know more about the professors and grad life there. also, are you considering UCLA for MA too?
Thanks, Farzad! Could you specify which UCLA related videos you would like to see that I haven't already covered? UCLA does not offer a grad program for SLPs so I won't be applying there.
Awesome news about your new job. I am very glad for you. Your. videos have been very enlightening and helpful. I wish you every success in your career. Thank you very much for your advice over the years.
mihika kapoor the thing is that every program will have its own requirements. This is why it’s very important to do research about each school/program you would like to apply to. Personally, I have never applied to any MBA programs. Since I have only applied to SLP programs, I will be focusing my videos on my experience with the process and requirements for the schools I applied to. I’m sure there are other UA-camrs out there who have created videos about the MBA process! Definitely look into it
@@HaileyDollarGoesToCollege okayy, thanks a lot :)) I have a small question if you could address?! Can we apply to uni for the MBA program w/o any job experiences?
I'm not sure what the general process is like since I don't any experience with MBA programs. It will probably depend on the school you want to apply to.
Thank you! I personally never lived in the transfer dorm but I do have a few videos more generally about living on campus so check that out if you haven't already!
What classes at WV did you take that help for the grad programs in SLP? I was only aware that the pre req classes for slp programs are only available at 4 year colleges, typically cal states
Check out ASHA's Prerequisite Course Content Areas Related to SLP Certification Standards. It's like 4 classes that all SLPs must take and can be completed at any accredited college or university in the US.
I'm happy you're back! Congratulations on your new job. I took time off school because I had a difficult time with health issues and wasn't happy with what I was studying. I'm going back to school this fall and will be studying linguistics! Your videos really helped me learn about the linguistics field.
Congratulations on your new job and next chapter of your life! Could you please do a video about your application for master degree? I am currently in the process of it (preparing for GRE/GMAT, etc.) but somehow confused about everything. Would love to hear your experience and perspectives! ❤️

Congratulations!! That is so awesome!! I would love to see a video about internship advice! Did you do internships in CC or mostly at UCLA? I’m anxious now that I didn’t do one in CC 🥲
Hi Jessica, thank you! I did the internship while I was at UCLA. I don't think it is very common for CC students to do them. Either way, don't worry about what other people are doing - just forge your own path! Good luck
@@HaileyDollarGoesToCollege Thank you so much Hailey for the words of encouragement!! It's a really helpful reminder that I need to forge my own path! If possible, I'd love to hear you talk about the process of finding an internship and the challenges you faced as a transfer student. I've been a bit worried about that since I don't have much experience straight out of CC.

If this is what it took for Hailey Dollar to win a job, one has to ask what's it take to win a date w/ Hailey Dollar?

I just took basic Intro classes for each of the four areas
