Fun fact, the traditional Christmas season starts on Christmas, rather than ending on it. In particular, the 12 Days of Christmas starts on Christmas Day and ends on Jan 5th. So the in-game holiday makes sense, considering that the game seems to be set in some undefined earlier time period.
Here in Germany we do grate potatoes and then fry them kind of like pancakes, just that they get slightly crisp at the rims. It's called Reibekuchen and usually it's served with Apfelmus, which is apple purée. 😋😋 It's one of the things that you can always find at Christmas markets, fairs etc.
It was fun to watch you play this one and you did give me a chuckle and several smiles as you talked to the various villagers. The game is okay, although the foods they want you to grow are a bit off. For instance, bananas are not growing in that snow. LOL However, sugar is made from 2 different types of plant... "cane" and "beet". Canada grows massive amounts of sugar beets on the prairies. Sugar cane would never grow here, even in our warmest areas.

That wasn't too bad! And every callback to cereal makes me laugh.
Me too...that's why I do it :)

I would eat so many of those
I've had that! So good... And I don't even like potatoes.
Not bad. Liked the nod to the cereal day from the other game. You did something like that in the clothing store game, too, I think.
That one is never going away

Diabolically short sell by date on those eggs.
Probably American eggs
the eggs came with the ship, could be they were pretty old at arival
As soon as there was a lumberjack, a corner of my brain broke out in song.
Yeah some of those plants would not grow in the same environment
Right?? Wrong place for sugar
potatoes and suger beets sure but sugar canes is just a no
#nomorecleaninginsimulatorgames In a medieval-style simulator, no less! I'm disappointed.
Couldn't avoid getting the broom out...
