Nikki Giovanni is a poet that I think you might like. My two favorite poems are "Ego Tripping" and "Seduction". Albums of her reciting her poems are the best way to hear them. They are on you tube. She has a few "Romantic" poems.

Could not agree more the only Little Women we acknowledge is the 1994 remake. 😂😂. PS I tried to physically read A Promised Land… but that book is like a college course 😂😂😂😂 so I decided to listen to it on audible, best decision and hearing Obama in his own words …love it..
The audio version of Becoming was better for me than the print version. Michelle Obama reads it herself. I purchased a print copy, but listened to the audio version through my library on Libby.
