I’ve found that spot really hit or miss this year. I fished it a lot last year and it was really consistent. Nothing big but still good fun. I’ve noticed more nets there this year so maybe that has something to do with it.

The weathers been pretty terrible here too although the water clarity is still quite good. Well done on the huss, beats a blank and at least you're still getting out there!
Hi I'm new to sidewinder lures ...looks like you literally have just the lure on the end of the line and no other lead weight...so these are heavy enough to cast out on their own ? Cheers mark
@@markpulling12 Hi mate. Yes these are heavy enough to fish on their own. I think the one I was using in the video was 30g which will cast more than far enough to find the fish. You won’t need a weight on most lures when fishing from the shore.
I was down at the rocks yesterday and there was at least 20 brown crab floating on the surface. I’m not sure if they were dead or alive. The weather has been pretty rough recently. I don’t know if they have been washed up from the sea bed or if this sort of thing happens when they moult their shell.
Personally never thought brown crabs swam or floated so I would think they was probably dead. Could be wrong though, hopefully someone can tell you for sure 👍
