I wouldn't say the contestant was dumb, as she correctly bid $1 to get on stage thinking everyone overbid. She was asking the audience and her friends for assistance, who were of no help either. I don't know the prices of Play Stations, as I have no interest in them. This episode shows why this is a tough game. If you use up four chances just on the first item and/or eat through most of the rest on the second item, trying to guess the car from five numbers with one or two chances left (if she had any left) is a long shot. It's still tough even if she had a bunch of chances for the car.
I grant that she was slow in guessing but it's one thing to play at home; it's entirely different when you are up there on stage and everyone is yelling at you I'm sure.
