First creek wade of summer 2024 - Spotted Bass on the fly in Louisiana

Finally got out to a creek for a full day's wading, and finally got to really break in my new custom 7-weight rod built by Bluewater Rod Company in Florence, Alabama. I told Chuck at Bluewater that I wanted a rod for creek fishing, 8 feet long and quick loading, and man did he deliver! Lots of fish caught today, mostly all on topwater, with some vicious strikes. Hard to beat wading in a cool creek on a hot Louisiana summer day!
