    You’re observant of people
My favorite thing to watch in people is social grooming
    It’s so primitive lol

omg DUDE! I'M SOOOOOOO GLAD you literally say that and understand such a BASIC AND SIMPLE thing about me! Some people genuinely don't get it and just treat me like I'm a hater (hence why I took the liberty of just going ahead and labelling myself as anti-social).
This is how I am, very summed up:
      - socialising is not something I need in excess
      - it makes me tired
      - I love to engage (and can endlessly) with topics that genuinely interest me; can't afford to drain my precious energy entertaining something that I'm not wild about
      - attention is power; I can't be giving my power away to folks who simply don't matter in my journey
      - sometimes there is more valuable info that is gathered via OBSERVING than mindlessly running your fucking mouth!
So yeah I like to credit me being quick-witted and constantly sharp to "being wise about where my energy and power is invested in".
..............yyyyyyyyyyyeeeeeeeah which is why it may take me months to get back to the comments!
And omg THAT TOO!! Some people to me, I hate to say it sometimes, but aren't as victim as they think they are. Grooming just taking place right there and you're just oblivious to it and entertaining it because you're "easily impressed"
And yes, our bodies and minds haven't changed much no matter how much our technology has!
I like to hone my primitive attributes, that's all I gotta say
      Thanks so much for posting!
I've been having a blast reading from you!

Lol I love this video just from looking at the title😂 and your lovely pigtails!❤
Edit: after listening, I still love the content😅 thank you!
I also had very similar, if not, identical ideology as you when it came to being a cashier here in the US. Over time, I had found the best people truly appreciate genuine reactions rather than fake ones (at the time I was actually incapable of pretending to care if I didn’t lol).
Additionally, I was also never one of the people who hated their jobs rather than understanding the purpose of their job … I can go on and on lol

Eeeeeeeeeexactly, you got exactly where I was coming from! And thanks! Since my hair has gotten obnoxiously long I think I'll bring back my pigtail era!
And yes that truly is the case. See I became overwhelmed because when I was new, I used to truly trrruuuly care about making every single interaction count but unfortunately it isn't practical. Aaaaaand eventually some folks "misunderstood" my friendliness and thought they could just feel the liberty to attempt to "advance with me", if you know what I mean? And I'm the kind of person who makes a mistake only once and then never again make that same mistake! That's when I began to dial back with my interactions. What made it hard though is I had a manager who, of course her job is to be concerned about numbers, but she knew I had power because of my personality and she kept wanting to push me but I was being cautious and proper. I finally ended up with managers who respected and supported the fact that I HAD to establish boundaries and that no amount of profits which we ain't even gonna see that much of is compromising my health and wellness.
Eventually, I learned to revert to how I've always wanted to be anyway which is utterly reserved. I was reserved in school, reserved at home, and at the job I should, too. Being reserved doesn't mean rude.
I enjoyed my season of being super sweet and kind especially as I went in the door but once I started feeling unsafe, you know, I ain't gonna play victim; I'm gonna resolve that shit. And I will keep bringing my stories of clowns like this one!
Same here. I have expressed this before and I'll say it again: I actually LOVE my job. The act of cashiering, auditing, scanning, bagging, maintaining the area clean, dealing with traffic with a sense of urgency, addressing questions. But DAMN the lonely or bored folks, and the unnecessarily ignorant ones, rrrrreeeaaaaaally make it suck for however long that interaction lasts.
Thanks so much for posting and please, go on if you wish! I have left fairly long comments in my time here and I have never run into a character limit! May take me a while to reply but I read *everything*!
