I know this is an old comment but it makes me sad that this beautiful sport is so xualized. It's weird when regular people xualize it and it's even weirder when a big company and competition does it. If they had done just the smallest amount of research they would have realized like you guys said that you cannot do silks wearing lingerie. I literally just stumbled across a Reddit story where this woman ended up having to break up with her boyfriend because she found out he had been secretly taking pictures of her and like hunting down pictures of her doing silks that she had been doing since she was in high school. And he had secretly created a fan page and was pressuring her to publicly perform and all of this really weird stuff. And it turns out he has an "attraction" to the art.
I remember I couldn't finish the first episode, I felt like they picked all the worst elements of ANTM and decided to repeat the "formula" and it was upsetting to watch.
It's unacceptable in an age where we have great videos from people like Jessica and Luxeria that break down exactly what was wrong with ANTM. We've learned so much, but these producers somehow haven't?

I’m honestly surprised none of the girls fell and got injured. I agree it was super irresponsible and just unrealistic to make them do something that requires not just a great amount of strength but skill as well.
This is exactly why I know I'd never make it on reality TV. If I told the judges I was anemic, and they responded saying "honey what did you think you were getting into?" I would straight up be like, idk but I didn't realize y'all were going to discriminate based on medical conditions, that's a lawsuit HONEY so I hope you have good lawyers since this is on film 🤭

I am an aerialist and Hoop and Hamock is difficult it takes months to even get basics you cannot expect people to get it in automatically. Also silks gives you silks burns they are wearing lingerie there is no clothing to stop that.
I think my biggest gripe with this show is how obvious they are at picking worse photos as the "best final photo". Cindy makes a huge deal when they do something amazing that she thinks is fantastic, then it gets to judging and she's picked something she said "no." or "meh..." to. It's like they need to pick something they can criticise the girls on and make a huge controversy at judging with, or to just plain embarrass them. Even us as viewers see the beautiful poses these models are doing that will end up as great photos that end up never to be seen. Either it's just an overdone modelling show tactic, or they're hiring photographers that can't seem to press the shutter button at the right time. I think a lot of it is an attempt to cause drama between the girls and picking images to portray the personality of the models that the judges and production have decided they want them to be perceived as. It's clear they just want to stand out as an 'edgy' show that shows "how harsh the modelling industry is", rather than unlocking the girls' potential. It all just feels really fake, for a 'reality' tv show, and I feel sorry for the girls who have been dragged into this trying to follow their passion of becoming a model, when this show exists to make them look bad for 'entertainment' and views.
Just what no one asked for another toxic modeling competition show. Also to do aerial modeling bra and panties just so doesn’t work! you could do lingerie with cool body suits and tights, but this styling is so bad. Also people that aren’t flexible and aren’t dancers pushing themselves to do aerial they aren’t ready for It can really cause injury, which is not good.
Have you ever watched Naomi Campbell's tv competition show? It's called The Face, there's only one season of UK but my bestie has found the Australian version too that has more. Not seen the Aussie one yet but just finished UK. Definitely recommend it to fans of beauty/modelling competitions, Naomi is unsurprisingly competitive. 😂❤😍

Scandal though with Naomi’s contestant dating Naomi’s ex husband shortly after her divorce 😬. I found Naomi insufferable on this show. She threw temper tantrums when everyone else was chill. Otherwise good show.

There was 3 casting Round ( the 1 with your Agency, 1 selected by the show and 1 with the Show ) those girl having AGENCY, having PERSONAL assistant ( running around to get room temperature water for them, feeding their pets for them and borrow them money but "forgot" to pay back ) 😅😅😅😅, Manager, Stylist, Makeup Artist..... vv A DECENT B LIST in their Country i would say and their goal is want to be on the A- List... winning some tittle from a Worldwide TV show against others country hosting by white People ... IS A GOOD WAY TO BE ON THE A-LIST. Some girls not even win somthing, just be on the Show would be ENOUGH for them to be consider the A List Celebrity in their country.... THEY'RE KNOW WHAT THEY GOT INTO OKAY ? The only things that their unaware of was the Level of manipulation that those producers can achives. I work out through aerial circus. And hammocks, silks and hoops aren't easy and you have to have training and classes to do the moves. The fact that they expect these models to just know what to do is wild. You have to wear protective leggings and sleeves and they're hanging on with lingerie. What even.

The thing about Super Model Me that makes it not work as well for me as ANTM is it lacks all of the fun of ANTM. Like yes the stuff Tyra and the rest of the judges said was problematic and rude at times, but Tyra and the 2 Jays were still really likeable. They had big, interesting personalities and were sometimes funny, so there was a lightness sometimes. sometimes the show was goofy. The judges on this show had boring personalities that really didn't balance out or mask their bitchiness. It was just serious all of the time.
Agreed I found the hosts and judges boring. It was weird for me that it felt like the host was trying to put on a sassy personality that doesn’t feel like her natural personality it seems forced.

Yep this show is exactly why i cant stand Asia's next top model. The judges are super duper extra trying so hard to match the toxic energy of ANTM, with their "oneliners" and "soundbites". As someone from South East Asia, i rolled my eyes at them. Like NOBODY and no culture in asia talks and acts like them.
let me clarify, this is not america's next top model wanna be, Supermodel Me started from 2009 in asia (I know ANTM from 2003, and supermodel me is inspired from chines model reality show I Wanna Be A Model season 1) , from photoshoot it's more superior than ANTM, you need to look previous seasons of Supermodel Me, their photoshoot is top notch ,hope this help.

It does concern me whether you’ll also dislike Elle Macpherson when she’s a host. I thought Cindy Bishop is actually a tame host. She’s passionate more than the past two host. I felt as if the host has to spice things up since they do need ratings. Some of the franchise (top model) can’t survive even after the first cycle since the formula is modelling + drama, sadly.
For anyone who has watched America's Next Top Model but hasn't watched Asia's Next Top Model, I encourage y'all to watch especially the first 5 seasons of ASNTM. Compared to ANTM, it definitely has less drama and the unnecessary fighting between models than the chaotic energy of ANTM. It's like night and day. And there is literal sisterhood between models especially in S2, S5, and S6 imo. Of course there's still drama in some seasons especially S4 ASNTM, but I can assure you they are less aggravating than the ones in ANTM.

This is the most cringed show on Netflix. ANTM shouldn't be rebooted in any way or another. It's a like a trauma..a thing of the past. It is not entertaining,- ladies should not be tolerated to fight one another. In an era where we empower women,this type of shows is so backwards.

The worst thing is that these shows set in Asia exploit their family backstories because almost all are from "poor" backgrounds. These contestants are easy to make cry and beg. You can see it from their asking them to "plea".
Here's what I thought while watching this. These girls do not want to be models they just wanna be on the show. If they wanted to be models, they wouldn't have come to the show. All they need is, and Jessica is right, is a bunch of good photos 📸 and do lots of go-sees, that's all.

This was ASNTM7. They just used the Supermodelme name. It sucks cause the previous two seasons of SupermodelMe had so much potential and diverse models.

The Face UK was great! Brutal but hilarious. Naomi was … uncompromising but Erin O’Connor was lovely as a mentor. The girls were hilarious.

The thing about Super Model Me that makes it not work as well for me as ANTM is it lacks all of the fun of ANTM. Like yes the stuff Tyra and the rest of the judges said was problematic and rude at times, but Tyra and the 2 Jays were still really likeable. They had big, interesting personalities and were sometimes funny, so there was a lightness sometimes. sometimes the show was goofy. The judges on this show had boring personalities that really didn't balance out or mask their bitchiness. It was just serious all of the time.
Agreed I found the hosts and judges boring. It was weird for me that it felt like the host was trying to put on a sassy personality that doesn’t feel like her natural personality it seems forced.
@@kn8354 granted I did watch all of it and if they came out with another season I’d probably watch that too but it definitely wasn’t as fun or entertaining as antm. TBH I wish antm would just come back but that’s not gonna happen.
Cindy doesn’t have the same star power or chicness like Tyra, so even if she is acting just as bad as Tyra, Tyra just somehow had more elegance and class when devouring her models lol

let me clarify, this is not america's next top model wanna be, Supermodel Me started from 2009 in asia (I know ANTM from 2003, and supermodel me is inspired from chines model reality show I Wanna Be A Model season 1) , from photoshoot it's more superior than ANTM, you need to look previous seasons of Supermodel Me, their photoshoot is top notch ,hope this help.

It does concern me whether you’ll also dislike Elle Macpherson when she’s a host. I thought Cindy Bishop is actually a tame host. She’s passionate more than the past two host.
I felt as if the host has to spice things up since they do need ratings. Some of the franchise (top model) can’t survive even after the first cycle since the formula is modelling + drama, sadly.

For anyone who has watched America's Next Top Model but hasn't watched Asia's Next Top Model, I encourage y'all to watch especially the first 5 seasons of ASNTM. Compared to ANTM, it definitely has less drama and the unnecessary fighting between models than the chaotic energy of ANTM. It's like night and day. And there is literal sisterhood between models especially in S2, S5, and S6 imo.
Of course there's still drama in some seasons especially S4 ASNTM, but I can assure you they are less aggravating than the ones in ANTM.

Cycle 1,2, 4-6 was my brother & I Favoritest 🌈😂😭🧡✨ so entertaining but a lot of petty dramas.
Here's what I thought while watching this. These girls do not want to be models they just wanna be on the show. If they wanted to be models, they wouldn't have come to the show. All they need is, and Jessica is right, is a bunch of good photos 📸 and do lots of go-sees, that's all.
I know Supermodel Me was a spinoff to ANTM which took a hiatus for Asia’s Next Top Model to take centre stage & came back again when AsNTN was finally off but can you at least try to react to AsNTM esp the first few seasons whereby some of the photoshoots were not too bad & they have some of the nicer judges too…
