It's been one incredible year with Sam! I asked her what she wanted to do for our anniversary....She said, fishing for Walleyes with Icebound Excursions on Lake Winnipeg...so that is what we did! Really? I live by Cadillac and I've been on several area lakes with good ice for awhile now... if you're downstate somewhere a hour or two drive north will definitely get you on about any inland lake you want.
Michigan Mike yeah I just posted a video I drove up to Bellaire and found some ice but yeah I’m 45 minutes north of Detroit and he have no ice, all open water.

I just got back from Eagle river WI and got on the perch and walleye pretty good. I have troubles with going to hard on fishing and not filming enough. Any tips on how to slow down and make sure to catch footage instead of fish?

Ever hit up dauphin lake? Was there last week with 2 buddies and we caught 62 walleye between the 3 of us. Could only keep 6 cause of the slot size. Was my best day of fishin for sure. Love the videos man!

How fast it changes I had the pleasure of meeting and comparing notes with Matt at Icebound...was hard to find a mark on Saturday for either of us . They will be back!

You two make an interesting fishing team. I know nothing about ice fishing. Does the vehicle cast a shadow that attract the fish? Also, I've never seen this, is chumming allowed?
Shadow doesn’t effect much with the snow cover over the ice. Yes, you can chum. It’s more effective for some species than others

Greenback? Is that a subspecies? Usually they have a brown bronze back at least in northern Minnesota
Not a subspecies, just a special coloration on the lake Winnipeg fish.
The website says four guys, do you think that would be pretty tight in that space? Also it took a long time for you guys to get down to your sweats is it cold in there?
I always bring a ridiculous amount of gear, so I’m not a great example of the amount of room. You could do four anglers, but wouldn’t be able to do second rods, which isn’t a big deal.
It depends how long before hand you have the heater running in the morning.
