The best thing about this show are the exotic proverbs: "Finally the camel is trapped". I have no idea what that is supposed to mean, but I will use it from now on!
The literal translation ‘now the camel has come down from the top of the mountain. But the real meaning refers to a stubborn person finally given in, bowing down or agreeing to others.
This old saying derives from a folk tale of a camel that became arrogant. The camel walks with its head held high so that its gaze is over and above most things and this led the camel to believe that it alone was the tallest creature on Earth and that nothing else was greater than it. Its owner took it to a mountain one day and seeing the vast height of the latter the camel realised that it wasn’t so big after all. Therefore when someone is cut down to size or taken down a peg or two from his conceited and arrogant perch it is referred to in Hindi as the camel having been brought down below the mountain.
@@lt1111ification The translation and meaning are both correct, this same phrase is used in Hindi & in Urdu too since both are identical languages in terms of speaking. It will be written as اب آیا اونٹ پہاڑ کے نیچے

Everyone has their own version of chili. I make mine with ground beef, onions, green peppers, garlic, red kidney beans (sorry, Texans!😉), and tomato puree. Chili seasoning, with extra cumin and cayenne pepper or hot pepper sauce added (I like it moderately spicy). Good plain, over boiled rice, or with saltine crackers crumbled over the top. Maybe a garnish of sour cream and a little raw scallion sliced over the top. Going to make a big pot of this soon, to get through the busy holiday season. Btw, Cincinnati is a city in Ohio; Ohio is the state. Oh, another popular combination is the chili dog: hot dog on a bun with chili on top. Maybe other toppings (cheese, diced onion, etc.) over that. We love to pile things rediculously high in America!
I feel like Mama would appreciate videos of things being made to accompany some foods. So he can see what goes into it and realize that some of that is actually pretty pure and good for the body.
Skyline chili is called Cincinnati chili. Texas chili does not have beans, only meat. I think its a wonderful thing that these folks get to try dishes from all over the world and enjoy watching, thanks!
Cincinnati is a city in the state of Ohio. This chili is not usual, as it has Greek spices, not just Mexican spices. The Texas chili looked very dry. It should be more like a stew, and usually eaten with crackers or corn bread on the side. Also, chili is better made with beef instead of chicken.
Yeah, when the the old guy says it'd be more like a meal with bread I immediately thought of corn bread. I think the ladies are Hindus and can't eat beef.
In Texas, USA, they have a saying: "If you know beans about chili, you know chili ain't got no beans"- traditional, authentic chili does not contain beans at all. However, other parts of the U.S. do put beans in chili. My kids love the stuff, but depending on what is in it, the flavour can vary quite a bit. I have never personally made it, nor eaten "real" chili (I can not eat meat so have had a vegetarian version), but lots of restaurants sell it and friends and relatives make it from time to time. One of my sisters puts raisins in hers - which she cooks in a big crock pot- and it works! Most people in North America like it or have a favourite chili recipe. This was a fun video. As usual Mama Mustafa is bang on with his observations. 😄
@Sir Kham Syizhin Raisins aren't good by themselves and they're not good in cookies. There's no reason to try putting them in different foods like "Hey, third's time the charm". If someone gave me chili and then was like "Oh yeah, there's raisins in it" ... That ... Well, honestly that's ground for suing. A pretty easy win in court I imagine.
A great episode as always. I am a big fan of chili con carne myself, though much like Mama I have to be careful about spices. It's wonderful to see everyone's personality shine through and especially Parwaati's humor shines in this episode. If this helps, let everyone know when eating spaghetti pasta, stick the fork straight down into the pasta, and spin the fork so the pasta rolls around the fork to eat more easily;)
As someone from Texas, thank you for using beans in your chili because without them it's just like some worse sloppy Joseph or something and those don't test very nice do they precious...
They're right about chili con carne. It's the best, but it's even better with bread. A spicy, peppery chili con carne, a nice crusty white bread (I would accept roti or naan as an excellent substitution), some full fat greek yoghurt or creme fraiche, and butter-fried sweet corn. Call an ambulance right now, because I'm eating till I need one.
Every year in October our small town kicks off a Halloween festival with a chili cook off. There are dozens of people who cook different ones. Everyone tried them and votes for their favorite.
"Finally trapped the camel", love it. That is now my favorite food line. I am definitely stealing that one. Pretty close on the Cincinnati Chile. Locally it is known as 5-Way Chili and it is sold by different restaurants, Skyline is one popular brand. It is served with chopped onion, beans, and top with finely grated Cheddar chees and much less spaghetti than that. The last time I visited Cincinnati I was there for 8 days. I had a 5-way 8 times and ate at White Castles 6 times.
Maybe these folks will get a kick out of knowing I once won a chili cooking competition at the state fair in Alabama. The judges kept coming back to taste it, and were amazed at the flavor profile. My secret? Start with a Roghan Josh gravy base :) .. I know that comes from Kashmir, but they might be familiar with the dish. I make the chili con carne and serve it with toasted garlic bread (ghee with garlic). A salad on the side you have a whole meal!
That looked like 3 way Skyline. And good thing they didn't used the cheese Skyline (and Gold Star) uses - bright orange cheddar. Would have scared the tasters off, lol.

Keith Koeng, I make mine like yours, except no hot sauce or jalapenos. I do love the Chili beans in mine too, but I only make it with beef and no bourbon. You be surprised how many Texans put beans into their Chili. It's really not a custom here, but I seen Texans eat it with beans too.
@@gigih.hammer306 I also like fresh tomato and onion in my chili, but for me, I gotta add some beans. That's the wonder of chili. 10 people will make it 10 different ways and I will likely enjoy all of them. I prefer ground turkey over beef personally, and I do like the kick of jalapenos. We have a Chili contest at work each year and a co-worker who hunts uses deer meat in his and it's also surprisingly good. Dammit, now I am hungry for a big bowl of chili...Right Now!
You should tryTabasco peppers (Hot, not zesty) it is a real clean bowl of HOT chili taste.
I add about 8 to 12 peppers from the jar depending on how Hot I want it , + Hot pepper flakes by the ton . When i make it REALLY HOT is for a cold or flu , it takes it away . No joke , it really does .
Add BUTTERED Saltine crackers and Enjoy . SWEATING(LY) !!
I would never have thought i'd see tribal people eating cincinnati chili haha
Yeah but they forgot to mix it all together. They are trying to eat the spaghetti plain without sauce. And Cincinnati chili you add the hot sauce once it gets to your table to your liking. It would be very bland eating only spaghetti noodles by themselves.
That’s because no one should be eating chili with spaghetti
@@lynkrig5635 yeah its insulting to so many cultures^^ i eat chilli with potatobits in it or with bread aside, or both :)
@@lynkrig5635 you are correct sir!

Great video yall! Now I want some chili cheese fries! Happy Saturday!
These videos warm my heart more than any food. I'm so glad I found this channel!
The USA has tribal people also, the Pueblo, Navajo, Sioux, Annishnabe, Lumbee just to name a few. it would be cool to share what the indigenous people of the United States eat with your tribal people.
I would love to see a video where they cook a dish from their village and teach us how to make it!!
❤️
Whatever it is, it goes well with roti and cooked over coals.
@@BrutishYetDelightful I live Roti....and all food tastes best cooked in coals
Hey putting down my home town there guys Cincinnatis skyline chili it great , you have to mix it all up so you get all the flavors in it you should have given them a cheese coney to go with it then maybe they would have love it . & a quick FYI , I don’t live to far from where the first Skyline chili was just a 3 minute walk up my street or a 30 second trip by car , since then Skyline moved to a new location about 3 minutes by car or 8 minutes walking .
Please do a Part 2! You should try the chili from New Mexico, especially my favorite, green chili!
Yes I'm moving to Albuquerque in 40 days. Green Chiles!!!
Manzoor, my father Always said "if you don't sweat, it's not chili"

Who is teaching English to Mehboob? Loving his progress!
Sounds delicious!
Nothing RIDICULOUS about that . 🤠🖖
🗣 Love me some chili !
I read your wonderful post and I am on my way to the store. We are having chilli tonight. Happy Holidays!
Chili with beans can be excellent! It's just not Texas chili 🙂
@@davidanderson7382 Hope your chili turned out great! Happy holidays to you, too!
I feel like Mama would appreciate videos of things being made to accompany some foods. So he can see what goes into it and realize that some of that is actually pretty pure and good for the body.
Yeah, I think he’s really concerned about the ingredients.
Skyline chili is called Cincinnati chili. Texas chili does not have beans, only meat. I think its a wonderful thing that these folks get to try dishes from all over the world and enjoy watching, thanks!
I live in Cincinnati and I am honored that you included Cincinnati style chili in this video. I don't even care that they didn't like it.

Mustafa is a cranky stubborn old man.
I love all of these guys and gals so much!🧡
Cincinnati is a city in the state of Ohio.
In Texas, USA, they have a saying:
"If you know beans about chili, you know chili ain't got no beans"- traditional, authentic chili does not contain beans at all.
If you're not supposed to have beans in chili then you definitely shouldn't have raisins in it.
I was thinking the same. No beans in my chili!!
The original chili is just meat in spicy sauce. It's too much lol. The beans make it tolerable to your physical health 😂
Well said , another excellent add is carrot diced up . Oddly "con Carne" is with corn. If memory serves.
A great episode as always. I am a big fan of chili con carne myself, though much like Mama I have to be careful about spices. It's wonderful to see everyone's personality shine through and especially Parwaati's humor shines in this episode. We all know Mehboob's English is wonderful and he's progressing much faster than... well, probably most people! Everyone is truly wonderful and there is comfort to watching your videos. Bless all the cast and the crew! Greetings from Germany!
Thank you for satisfying my quest to feed them Cincinnati Chili. It didn't go over like I hoped it would..but we here in Cincy will take note.
Yeay Cincinnati
These videos are wonderful. Thank you.
When he said, this will go good with flies.. 🤣🤣I died laughing. Then the cameraman, you mean fries.
I don't know where you got these recipes from but I'm from Texas and we do make the best chilli
Their recipes are often wrong.
Yes we do. And chili doesn’t have beans.
Texas doesn't make the best anything, tbh.

I'm from Texas so I'm super happy they enjoyed the Texas style chili. I wish you guys would make a video where westerners try the tribal food for the first time! Also, Mehboob is doing amazing with his English speaking!
I love their sayings .. Awesome
I VERY much enjoy the gentleman in the yellow shirt! He is always very enthusiastic about trying new foods and seems to enjoy them all! 😊 The woman in black is also very open to trying new items and pretty much always rates them VIP.
Lol. Yes
As an Ohioan (where the city of Cincinnati is located), the chili spaghetti should be stirred together so the pasta is coated in the chili.
They don't tell these folks anything. They don't tell them what it's made with, like the ingredients. And they should.
Chili spaghetti...? What? I'm so confused. What are you Ohio people doing?
-a horrified Texan
And I don’t know what that white cheese is but we do yellow lol
One state over and didn't know it existed.
@@mattie3867 usually if made at home, my family uses leftover chili so it’s used up but a different feel to the meal. Also in our bowl of regular chili we add cheese, sour cream, avocado, garnish with lime juice and crumble tortilla chips on top..
Skyline is my favorite. Skyline is restaurant. The chili is called Cincinnati Chili. Cincinnati is a city in the state of Ohio.
No, it's called three-way chili (mostly served at Skyline restaurants). 3-way is spaghetti, chili, cheese.... 4-way is spaghetti, chili, cheese, and onions OR beans..... 5-way is spaghetti, chili, cheese, onions AND beans.
Yes, Cincinnati is a city, Ohio is the state in which Cincinnati resides.
@@jbashore3468 Cincinnati Chili can be three way, four way, etc. I know what it's called.
@@jbashore3468 Nope. Native Cincinnatian here. I agree with sstimac. Skyline Chili is the restaurant where the recipe for Cincinnati Chili was developed. It is served as a 3 Way=spaghetti, chili, cheese. A 4-Way=spaghetti, chili, cheese, beans or onions, 5-Way=spaghetti, chili, cheese, beans, onions. You can also order a bowl of chili with no spaghetti. I also love Cheese Coney=hot dog with chili and cheese on a bun. Chili Cheese Sandwich, same as Coney with no dog. Each and every selection a masterpiece. If you don't agree, check out their website.

Hey, Cincinnati made it all the way to Pakistan!? Wow, that's my state. Although we use cheddar cheese and raw onions in it, served with hot sauce on the side. I love seeing Manzoor and Mehboob's passion.
LoL, Cincinnati is a state now!? 😉
It's a city!
Hello from African
Ps: yes we have electricity. And internet, and wifi etc. And speak English.
Mustafa always has something insightful to say.. A wise and inspiring man🙌😊
I love chili! Spicy with some cheese, sour cream, green onions on top. Yum!
Mmmmmmm yes!!! For the cheese I love 50/50 mix of pepper jack and extra sharp Wisconsin cheddar. Under the broiler or salamandar till melted. Serve with a crusty chewy baugette. And did I forget?? Very hot spicy lots of cumin. Should be able to smell it cooking 3 blocks away 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶🍞🥣
Can't imagine someone not loving chili❤️they're adorable trying everything. We even serve chili on pasta too!!
Im from Cincinnati Ohio, and want to say that Skyline chili is NOT served with white cheese on top! It should be finely shredded cheddar.
Mehboob looks like the dictator and I can’t unsee it 🤣
I think the idea to serve chilli with roti is excellent! I'm wondering why I never thought of that! My oldest would love it! I love hearing what everyone thinks about different dishes!
Thanks for the reminder, it is time to make a big batch for the winter.
"Good from far, but far from good!!" haha!
"Finally, the camel is trapped!" LOL
That was hilarious!
Mehboob the english man! Lol doing very well
If this helps, let everyone know when eating spaghetti pasta, stick the fork straight down into the pasta, and spin the fork so the pasta rolls around the fork to eat more easily;)
Ah, yes, my favorite state; Cincinnati.
As someone from Texas, thank you for using beans in your chili because without them it's just like some worse sloppy Joseph or something and those don't test very nice do they precious...
As a Texan im glad we got the stamp of approval from real spice hounds
Did Mama seriously drop the "Good from far, but far from good" line?
Yep!
Another excellent video!
I learn so much from this channel; here I sit in Michigan and never knew that 2 women from Michigan created chili cheese fries
This one is funny! 😂👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Every year in October our small town kicks off a Halloween festival with a chili cook off. There are dozens of people who cook different ones. Everyone tried them and votes for their favorite.
Just found this channel today and it is pure gold
Thank you Gabriel
You guys should of served chile freeto pie. It's the most common way we have chili in our house.
Where are they going to get the freetos?

That looked like 3 way Skyline. And good thing they didn't used the cheese Skyline (and Gold Star) uses - bright orange cheddar. Would have scared the tasters off, lol.
"Finally the canel is trapped"
I cannot express how much I loved that saying.
Mama Mustafa is a man of strict discipline and is also straighforward. I really like that. Reminds me that I can be like him for sure
My favorite people! Now, give them some cornbread to go with that chili!
Have them try dairy queen's blizzards and ice cream cake!!!!!!!!
I don't know if that would be possible to ship something like that and keep it frozen all the way across the sea and over land.
When did Cincinnati become a state?

Love chilli. Eat it most in winter. Warms you up!
Congrats to Mehboob. He speaks English very well. I'm saddened that they didn't like the spaghetti & chili more than they did. It's one of my favorite dishes, when topped with shredded cheddar cheese and chopped white onion.
