Shujaat Husain Khan is one of the most acclaimed North Indian musicians and sitar players of his generation. He belongs to the Imdadkhani gharana school of music.
शुजात हुसैन खान अपनी पीढ़ी के सबसे प्रशंसित उत्तर भारतीय संगीतकारों और सितार वादकों में से एक हैं। वह इम्दादखानी घराने के संगीत विद्यालय से संबंधित हैं।
The sitar is a plucked stringed instrument, originating from the Indian subcontinent, used in Hindustani classical music. The instrument was invented in medieval India, flourished in the 18th century, and arrived at its present form in 19th-century India.
सितार वीणा और ईरानी तंबूरा का मिश्रण है। इसका आविष्कार अमीर खुसरो ने किया था। यह भारत के सबसे लोकप्रिय वाद्ययंत्रों में से एक है, जिसका प्रयोग शास्त्रीय संगीत से लेकर हर तरह के संगीत में किया जाता है। सितार पूर्ण भारतीय वाद्य है क्योंकि इसमें भारतीय वाद्योँ की तीनों विशेषताएं हैं।
