Wow dealt with this issue for 2 days, went through countless "fixes" doing manual changes, reset xbox and still nothing worked was about to give up and this video randomly started playing after I finished a different one and it just happened to be the stupid 5G causing the issues for me Thank you so much for saving my sanity lol

Man I got on the interent and looked everywhere to see how I could get my system to play online and I found absolutely nothing until I got on my phone and seen mobile networks and saw I can change my network. Believe or not, not all phones allow you to do this step so phone companies lack so much with the 5G network.

hey my 5g is now working to play call of duty warzone usually I switch to 4g lte since it didn't support 5g .... also it works with other games I had an update with my phone and my x box series x about 2 weeks and just noticed working fine

As of right now, 5G and having that on to download things is better to use but yeah 4G definitely let's you play and your welcome. Glad to help

I've contacted phone services so many times and told them about the NAT type being unavailable and they always say the samething " all our services are up and running fine. It must be on your end" even when xbox or Sony literally says its your IP "interent provider" please contact them for more information or whatever so they do know in fact, I just think they don't have it activated to where we're able to use it. 5G is still new and hasn't completely out rules the 4G network but In my opinion they should have made sure 5G was 100% up and running cause it really leaves ppl clueless as to wtf is going on. That's why I made this video cause I've looked and looked too find the answer on how to fix it. Found nothing. Myself and another person is the only 2 ppl I know of that had posted a similar video and we both pretty much say the samething but I go further into detail since I have both consoles.

@@thelaughter2412 I'm glad my video helped you out along with many others. 5G is good for download and does have a good upload speed as well but I don't understand why NAT type is unavailable. I have noticed tho that on 4G network ip4 is now together with IP6 but I still deal with a major lag issue

On my Nokia X100, sometimes when my hotspot work, it only works for a few minutes before it doesn't work anymore. Most of the time it doesn't work. I'm trying it on my Nintendo Switch, but the issue proceeds. I tried to change the access point name and put ,DUN and all that stuff, but my Switch says "an error occurred when communicating with the server." Can someone tell me what's up? Thanks.
Truly, it all depends on the phone also or the network itself that sometimes may let you have access but also doesn't let you play. Try getting ahold of your provider and see what all info you can get.
Anyone knows that this works for Motorola g stylus or any moto phones?
Did this work on next gen? My internet has an outage and out until Tuesday and I've been trying to play Madden Ultimate team using this method. I tried 5g and this method and neither let me get on madden Ultimate team keeps saying server can't process my request

It should if your not running on the 5G network. If your using 4G you shouldn't have any kind of issues. Just let me know whats going on

@@dw_gaming I had to create a new apn profile and change my settings from IPv6 to IPv4. I don't understand why tmobile hotspot continues to get worse over time instead of better not to mention the workarounds to be able to play online

This still drives me mad. I can call and have t mobile do a network reset on their side and I can game with 5g for a few minutes to a few days before it fails again. This fix though, and also pdanet, made me stop calling clueless tmobile 🤣👌

How do I do this on Iphone?? I’m using 2.4GHz for my hotspot and don’t know where to go I’m just starting to have this problem 2 years later lmao
Unfortunately for iPhone, I wasnt able to find a way. iPhones usage for Internet is setup differently then android. Apple limits you being able to do certain things like this to where android doesn't. Currently due to mobile now having their own Internet plans far as hotspot routers, 4G is still the only thing you can use for hotspot. Some phones does allow you to use 5G hotspot for gaming that only either gives you nat type 2 or it'll be open.
If you still be having issues I suggest to drop your hotspot phone plan and switch to 5G home Internet. Idk what states or country you from but definitely look into what's available for you.

I mean tbh you can just keep it at 4G if you desire to. But let's say if you have bad connection in a location then just turn it back to 5G but if your playing on your hotspot it always gotta be 4G unfortunately until phone companies stop fucking around with dumb bs
Also sometimes if you have it set to 5G make sure your hotspot isn't on when you switch 5G to 4G. It'll still read it as 5G connection so always make sure 4G is set before activating hotspot

Note to the side.... once you make 5g back into 4g make sure to turn off your phone for a good 2-10m. Once you do, it should stay in 4g and not go back to 5g.

I'm losing my head here... This morning my network switched to my new provider and it also said Nat type failed... I've tried your suggestions, turned my phone on and off, turned my PS4 on and off and after it was set on 4g+ it still gave me nat type failed. Hi thanks for reaching out. Have you tried to troubleshoot your ps4 and see what the system is telling you? Also your network setting shouldn't be on 4g+ it really should be 4g 3g 2g setting.

Had a thought to try doing this. It works on metro samsung a52 5g. Switch down to lte and reset your Xbox and phone. (Xbox series S)
Sad thing is that 5g did work the first night with an open nat type.
Shit I have Samsung A71 and it never was open for nat type. For like 2 years now my connection would always say IPV4 but now on 4G it's been saying IPV4 and IPV6 on my xbox so I'm thinking that's what they are doing now since 5G doesn't work. But shit. If we have a 5G phones it should be working on 5G period
I agree! I use a visible phone for large downloads but ping time is in the 150ms range. No cap on downloads and is always an open nat type on 4g lte. Country life.. Waiting for starlink any day now. I feel like the 5g network isn't fully hashed out yet and we may see it usable as a Hotspot it the future. It did work day one but teredo error for the next 3 days. Now it's fine on lte but ping on 5g was under 30 and 4g it's over 50. Thanks for the video!! I had it in the back of my mind to do this but only did after watching this! @@charleshecker8747 when I play warzone my ping would start at 70 and then magically goes up to 150ms. During the match I be at like 100 to 200 sometimes I'll go all the way up to 1000 ping. When you can or talk to your provider they say it's nothing on our end maybe it's Microsoft or Sony. Its like nah bruh my system is telling me NO NAT TYPE and it literally tells me it's yous but they give you a wrap around all the time.
This is why I made this video. I've looked and done alot of research to find what I can do to make that nat type open and I found nothing. Until I found I can switch my 5G back to 4G and it worked.
Tbh this is why I made this video. For everyone who has 5G and can't play. We spending money on a 5G network that doesn't help us with NAT type and it's literally like wasting money.
