To Austin's credit here: The riddle, sorry Alex, was BS... as others pointed out, Throne has no possible reasonable association with Bench, that's not a recognized synonym whatsoever. King also has nothing in common with Geek, should've said something like "the smartest person" rather. That Austin managed to come up with the chess thing, which at least matched some parts of this illogical and thus unsolvable riddle was not as unreasonable as you made it seem.
23:44 Um, actually, a throne is not even close to a bench, they're literally the exact opposite: a throne is a single seat for a leader and benches are for lesser beings to sit together on.
Playing Devil's Advocate, 1. a throne and a bench have the same basic use: a seat. So, in that way, 90% of their reason for existence is, in fact, the exact same. 90% is pretty close if you ask me. Certainly closer than Austin's
The issue with the riddle is that the "king" part makes no sense, it's an unfair red herring. When you're trying to figure out the riddle, you start by thinking "okay, smartest king, what does that mean", but it doesn't mean anything, the riddle wants you to ignore the "king" part entirely and just conclude "oh okay, a smart person, so a geek". If your riddle only works as long as you ignore parts of it, that means it's not a very good riddle.
@@andersp.1264 Categorically false. "King" is a common phrase to refer to a man. Have you never heard someone refer to a short man as a Short King? The Tetris one is nonsense. People just take that number from the Tetris company that tries to pretend that every version of Tetris is the same Tetris? That would be like counting every Elder Scrolls game ever sold as the same game. Wikipedia's list of best selling video game lists Minecraft at 300mil and the best selling version of Tetris from the freaking gameboy at 40mil. Also, Tetris was a pack-in game with the gameboy, so even that number has some caveats. #justiceForAustin
Not to mention that you cannot use bundled games in any list of top selling video games(which wiki rightfully doesn't) because we don't know if the person would have purchased that game if it hadn't been in the bundle, they might just want the console and would have never bought that game. So you can't count those bundled games as units sold when trying to measure the popularity of the game.
Using that same thought process, you can only count Java Minecraft sales, since that's the original Minecraft. Last time MS gave numbers for that it was around 30 Million in 2019, and given how limited that specific version and purchase options are versus all other versions on PC, console, and mobile, I doubt it's gone up much since.
@halcyoncmdr4324 there is a similar problem there. I agree. But it's not nearly the same as counting every game in a series from 1988 til now. Wikipedia agrees with me. Also if you did break down Minecraft more, it would probably still be the winner.
@@Kevin-zd5bi GTA V was re-released in 2014 and received a new version for PS5 and Xbox Series X in 2022. Between 2015 and 2021, 100 million copies of GTA V were sold. So by single version metrics, it's quite possible that the re-released GTA V has Minecraft beat.

I have no idea where this person came up with this riddle, but Bench has literally nothing to do with throne. Like, 'Toilet' is the only thing that could ever be referred to as a throne, colloquially.
I get that Austin was trying to end-run around the rules with purchasing his own screwdriver, but has this man never heard of thumbscrews? They even make low profile ones that are meant for mounting motherboards, even if Microcenter doesn't carry the low-profile ones, he likely could have mounted most of the motherboard with the ones typically used for PC building.
