    What bothers me is that no matter what, they will always be perpetually dancing around in the container even when you close the container and put them away

      They do not start dancing until the vacuum is broken. Absent of air pressure nothing moves. CSA and NASA vacuum seal their food for size and shelf life.

      Salt and suger like to stick to each other and other surfaces so it will probably not float around till someone breathes it in or gets it in her/his eye and if it does float around it will probably be cleaned up

    I got a masterclass from an Astronaut (André Kuipers), and they do work a lot. They work most of the time -minus sleeping offcourse-, and they just need to scramble some time together to look out of window. Also they are being watched most of the time, and they are having active direct communication most of the time, so it's like working with your boss.

    We sure do. In fact, the Canadarm is the mechanical arm that was on the orbiters and currently on the space station. It's been key to all the shuttle missions and enabled the construction of the ISS and repair of Hubble.
