Do you need to install some Apple hotspot Lan tethering drivers to a PC? I just built a PC without WiFi card and I don’t have Ethernet.
I have a really weak wifi signal at our holiday home so would like to use my phone's signal as a hotspot. Do I then need to turn off wifi on my phone and make sure mobile data is on, to force it to use the phone signal, which is more stable? Also, my laptop on windows 10 often doesn't list my phone's hotpsot. Lastly how do I get my ipad to stay on the hotspot and not switch back to the unreliable wifi? Thanks for any answers!

Looking forward to trying this, because someone crashed into the mailboxes and a pole in front of our house and my Xfinity wires are down right now. The only thing that went by a little fast was when you said open network services and choose iPhone. You could spend longer on that because I really haven’t heard of “network services“ but I have heard of Wi-Fi and I assume I’m going to put the word Wi-Fi into my computer and this will come up. Here's the problem, I don't have wireless internet, but i have unlimited 4g and hotspot data with my cellular service. When I turn on the personal hotspot, it says use wireless and bluetooth or usb. I can't use my 4g connection as a hotspot? Iphone 8plus with latest OS.

I'm trying to connect my smart tv to my iphone hotspot. When I turn on my personal hotspot on the phone I get an alert to connect to WiFi. I'm trying NOT to use my WiFi, but the hotspot won't show up on my tv unless it's on defeating the purpose altogether. HELP! please
