@@scotlandshistory Thank you for posting it.
Wow, that story is WILD 🤯🤯 The fact that they couldn't find a hangman for so long is crazy! Kinda makes ya wonder if they were stalling on purpose 🤔 This poor guy, going out like that... tragic stuff.
Yes it was a bit of a fiasco. Thank you so much for watching.
@@scotlandshistory The jiggery pokery around the execution put me in mind of the hanging of James Macpherson in 1700 at Banff. I remember the old ganger on my forestry squad telling me the story as we sat in Dufftown having our "fancy piece" (N.E. Scottish term for a cake). Legend has it the clock in Dufftown originally was the one that sat in the church-tower in Banff that they fiddled with to hang him early. Would make a good tale for your channel. 🕛
@Getpojke thank you for that. I'm always happy to have suggestions put forward. That's one I'll definitely look in to.
@@scotlandshistory Though I called him by his given name most of the history refers to him as Jamie MacPherson (1675-1700). Hope you enjoy his story.
@@Getpojke I'm sure I will.
