Here's the point about products from China. It's a crap shoot what you get. With the Pathfinder stuff every item is tested by Dave and his staff. Dave said himself he is extra tough on his products so that what is offered is quality at an affordable price. His prices on items are insane. I saw a comment somewhere saying that the stainless-steel used (304) was lower quality. I have a few of their stainless-steel items and they are as good as any Stanley stainless steel products.
Facts
I have been using his bush pots for about 5 years now. In fact, all of my camping cookware is from him. They have worked over fires, over gas grills, even over charcoal. I have zero complaints. They dont warp, and, being all SS, they are easy to clean. I bring an SOS pad, and that literally cleans up all our cook gear. I wouldnt go back to any other system for our mess gear.
Just use bandannas or bigger square pieces of cotton cloth to wrap my bush pots in old fashioned hobo style. It costs very little, the cloths have dozens of other uses, weigh nothing and just go in the laundry when they get too dirty. I've no objection to buying from Dave if he has the product I want/need.
You might want to consider the pathfinder dry bags , think mine are camouflage, but they've shoulder straps
Another time when I'm happy to have a sewing machine and plenty of canvass. Plywood cook boxes are sooo easy to make.
I like pathfinder gear! Especially my mountaineer knife!
I have absolutely no problem buying from SRO. I have those bags, but didn't look close enough to notice the inner pockets.
14 cups??? You must love coffee!!! Good to know about the waxed stuff sacks. I really like the brown ones, and you can't have too many stuff sacks. I've got so much stuff in plastic bins. I hope you have a great time, and I hope the weather is great.
I do love coffee and I will drink it all day. (plus I share) That is why I am enjoying the 14 cup percolator. I don't fill it all the way up, usually only about 10 cups per pot. I will have a few cups in the morning, then re-heat the coffee throughout the day whenever I want more. Thanks for the comment and for watching.
This video is a mistake
PNW bushcraft is USA made real quality I buy from the UK
Great video and product. I like the waterproof waxed canvas. You could cover a pair of hiking boots in the rain so they stay dry!
Another great idea from my friend Todd. That being said, I think only one boot would fit in the large bag so I would need to purchase another one.
Yeah Badger Claw Outfitters has all of those. Good old world feel and fantastic American quality and durability. It's a little more but well worth it. Range of sizes. Thats who SRO used to have make their bushpot bags.
I will have to check them out. I need a bag for my 10 inch skillet and lid. Thanks for watching and the comment.
Waiting for pathfinder to come out with a waxed canvas 32 oz bushpot bag.
I use a waxed canvas bag made by Campcraft Outdoors that is made for a 1 Quart Bushpot. They have some great products and sizes for almost any pot.
Badger Claw Outfitters has them. Very good quality
That is a big coffee pot lol
I love having coffee and will drink it all day. Plus I can have some to share if needed. The Coletti Butte 14 cup percolator is my favorite for over the campfire. Thanks for watching and the comment.
UK users of the 58/90 pattern water bottle inside the Crusader mug carried in the military belt pouch will be familiar with your probs with the green bag
