Agreed. If Denys lacks motivation it can have a demoralizing effect on us, which helps nobody but the Russians. It's a big ask because this war is hard on the soul, but we need to stay as optimistic as we can.

Sirens are a bit pointless 30 seconds after arrival. ATACMS flies at Mach 3, or ~4 minutes for Kherson -> Sevastopol. Inside radar detection range even less, these radars can't look behind the horizon.

@@oleopathic Over the horizon radars are huge installations, like multi-storey buildings. Their trick is to use long radio wavelengths, so one needs huge antennas. Perhaps you remember Voronezh radar, this is such a device. It was in the news ~2 weeks ago and has a nice wiki page.

14:57 that's very similar to what South Korea did with its surplus 105mm howitzers. Perhaps they'll be sending them to Ukraine now after the Ruzzia-North Korea meeting? South Korea wanted to, and still wants to, retire all their 105mm howitzers, but they still have something like 5 to 7 million good 105mm shells in storage that they couldn't just get rid of all at once, so they mated a few hundred of their 105mm howitzers to light tactical vehicles to make them highly mobile like in that photo. Since they are still looking to divest themselves of those howitzers & shells to make room for their newer 155mm howitzers, it seems like sending them & the shells to Ukraine would be a logical & useful way to solve their issue now.

German journalist Alina Lipp from Crimea talks about today's attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Sevastopol:
"I am currently in Crimea not far from the place where today the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked a popular beach in Sevastopol. They attacked with 5 ATACMS missiles with cluster warheads. One of the missiles exploded over the beach where families with children were relaxing. Cluster munitions that are used when you want to injure as many people as possible. 152 people were injured, 28 of them children. 5 people died, 3 of them children. Three children.
It is no secret that missiles such as ATACMS or HIMARS are launched by Western military personnel, not Ukrainians. It is also known that yesterday 15 enemy UAVs were observed over western Crimea, and today during the attack an American drone was flying for coordination. This is brutal. This is inhumane. Especially today, on an Orthodox holiday - Holy Trinity Day. This is once again proves the coldness of Western controllers of Ukraine."

She was NOT in the Donbass in 2014, so is just retorting what she imagines. She does not report, or possibly is not aware that since 2014 when Putin secretly formed the Wagner Warriors in the Donbass and placed other insurgents in that area Putin has been trying to stir up trouble for the Ukrainian administrators. There has been unrest there, which under Zelenskyy had greatly calmed to almost no more fighting.
Hence 2022 Putin arrives with his army. ALL tensions in the Donbass are a creation directly linked to Putin’s interference. When did Ms Lipp arrived in the Donbass? She is now in The Crimea under Russian guardianship. Of course she only hears their propaganda. Any Ukrainians darn’t speak up, especially to such a pro-Russian blogger.
And the missile was downed by the Russians, they say do themselves. The beach is between two Russian military instillations, which is where the missiles were heading. They are aimed with precision , why would they aim at the sea. (Where most of the shrapnel landed)? Do you think there could have been a submarine that near to the beach? No.
All Russia has to do is to GET OUT OF UKRAINE. Then no more innocent people need die. This includes Putin’s insurgents.
Alina (her father is Russuan) can move to Russia. Then she may learn why so many Russians pre to Feb.2022 were so willing to live in .Ukraine rather than their homeland.

With this information, you should be asking why Russia is placing military installations so close to population centers. This is what happens when you use asymmetrical warfare resembling the tactics of terrorist groups, the Russian government is entirely to blame.

@@olliebri I have seen video identified as targets in Yevpatoria and a couple other places near there, but I have no indications yet of the state of those targets, until satellite imagery becomes available. But, I made no claims of specific targets. Only the absence of evidence of the downing of even one ATACMS. And it stands to reason: ATACMS are a sophisticated weapon. Interception would be extremely difficult, and Russian air defense is notoriously incapable of much lesser tasks.
