Hey Vlad we are having a live Maidstream this Saturday night 10:00 pm est on Creativity Talkings reaction channel. It would be awesome if you could possibly stop by to say hi and help us support the Maids. 🍺😁🤘🏻🕊️
Cool! This one, right? ua-cam.com/video/1l8no3JwXSA/v-deo.html 4am for me, so, I'm not sure I'll be sufficiently alive to see it, but I wish you guys all the best! Have fun!
@ Yup that’s it. They normally only have 2 or 3 people max on their livestreams. But as you know the Maids draw a crowd. Plus I already have about 30 reactors who say they’ll show up. 🍺😁🕊️
@@RogerChance5309 By the way. I made you a Chief Moderator on this channel, just in case you want to get involved with the comments in a more active way.
@@VladimirChupin Awesome thanks! I don’t know if you ever seen Creativity Talkings channel but their live stream have a high probability of being a disaster, but we wouldn’t want it any other way.🍺😆
Yes, that morning performance on Sunday was really cool. Some true fans came, and were cheering the band up. The band always feeds from the crowd... while the crowd feeds on them!
"Metal" is not a cover, it's their original song. If you want to understand what is real ASTERISM, you should start from things like DAWN, or their wonderful rock opera GUERNICA. They do a lot of covers, yes, but that's because they are still very young and they are still learning. Although they composed their first song, "155," at the age of 11. Just check the playlist at their channel called "History of 155," how its performance was changing from year to year. I am not a guitarist, but to me it looks like HAL-CA at the age of 11 was playing already almost perfectly. Some of their covers are much better than the originals, in my opinion. Their cover of Guerrilla Radio, featuring Maki Oyama, is a masterpiece: ua-cam.com/video/hCqh6S2SGuI/v-deo.html Their cover of Scuttle Buttin' I also prefer over the original. I can't say it's "better," I don't think any cover of this song may be "better" than the original. But they changed it a lot, building on their strengths. In addition to the brilliant guitar work by HAL-CA, they added a bass solo by MIYU and even a drum solo by MIO: ua-cam.com/video/BtB_VrYLRaM/v-deo.html
@@VladimirChupin to me the most remarkable thing is that they improvise so much. The last two minutes of "Dawn" are different in every performance I've seen, and it's already an absurdly difficult thing to play. A generation ago, improvisation was a normal part of blues and rock guitar but it disappeared. What Hal-ca is doing is actually quite significant, if enough people take notice.
@@hiawatha.g Yes, HAL-CA is a genius of improvisation, although ASTERISM style (and all Japanese bands which I heard) is not built on the idea of improvisation. It's always the idea of perfection-and perfection necessitates rehearsal. But there are some videos available where HAL-CA just improvises, and it's mind-blowing what she's doing. She literally composes a smooth melody on the spot.
@@VladimirChupin Growing up on blues and fusion, I always thought that soloing was all about improvisation, but that era ended long ago. The Western rock guitarists also don't improv as much as the old masters. So she is really bringing back something that went out of style, and she does it at a ridiculously high level. I just hope more people take notice.
Great to see Hal Ca grin when the audience chant along.
