Hi, I`m Susie! I`m originally from Hungary but I live in the beautiful Philippines with my husband, Jonathan.
We are sharing our daily life and adventures here focused on visiting and promoting the lesser known, less touristy (but equally beautiful) areas of the Philippines as well as sharing the beauty of life in the province!!
Thank you for joining us on our adventures!
#philippines #lovethephilippines #filipinofood
I love the life your living, surrounded with nature and i can see a genuine happiness in your eyes. That satisfaction i see in your eyes, Thats a gift not everyone is fortunate to have.
I climbed Mayon volcano when I was in Grade5, together with our Boy Scout troop. We slept at the 1st rest house overnight. Next morning, we proceeded our climb to the 2nd rest house but due to worsening weather, we aborted the climb. The view from the 1st rest house at dusk was breathtaking.
Thank you for visiting our place.🎉🎉🎉🎉
God bless you Susie and Jonathan on your adventure. Thank you for sharing i love to watch all of your journeys. It was all beautiful and fantastic.

so happy you got to see most of Mayon. what's the climate like in Bicol? here in Northern Luzon Nov-Mar is quite dry relatively speaking
injoy to province of Albany mam
Thank you 😊
Owww... What a waste in loosing the bagpack... What a way to feature a mugging incident in Bicol, Philippines. We call them the 'Salisi' guys. Salisi guys operate when you are unmindful of distracted. Jonathan, you know this. Do not let yourself enjoy too much with your surrounding ang get left off guard. I hope no personal/important things like document/IDs were on that bagpack. My condolences for the sameful incident. ✌️✌️
Hi Susie & Jonathan, do you know that Mt. Mayon is all about love, bravery and hatred story? It has a mythical legend about how Mayon volcano was made. You may check it on the web " A Myth On Mayon Volcano" and you'll find the story behind it. Enjoy your stay in Bicol region "URAGON!" 🌶🌶🌶 Hope you can still have the back pack back if ever who found it may return it, does it has any I D's so that they can inform you that your bag was picked and found and may be returned? 🤞
the best month to see Mayon I think is in April or May
Heyy welcome to Bicol Region❤
I really hope the backpack returns to you somehow (if there's some way the person who picks it up can locate you)
Ma'am Suzie visit our Kamay Ni Jesus in Lucban,Quezon and taste our delicasies likes pansit habhab, longganisang lucban ,putoseko at Marami pang iba,
Hello Susie and Jonathan
Sa bato na hiram ang backpack nyo.?
Laing only looks plenty but once cooked, it will shrink
Are you still in bicol region right now?according to news mayon volcano spew ash and smoke,
masarap yan santol
How about we ride together this coming holy week
👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏♥️♥️♥️
Hey susie
Hiii 😊
💖💖💖😍🤗
Was your backpack fell off or intentionally taken?
We are not sure... We thought it fell first but it's strange how all the raincoat didn't fall with it as they were even so loose on the box without the bag under. Someone might have pulled the bag out but we will never know for sure. :/
R u safe with the recent mayon incident.
We are! 😊 We left before it happened. We heared it was due to all the rain falling to the volcano. It was only the rain we experienced not the eruption 🙈
Too bad you didnt see Mayon in all its glory. That mountain has an effect on the soul. Makes someone really feel emotional when it peeks.
I dont like Pancit Bato. The noodles itself has a distinct taste thats not palatable to me. Quite similar in taste to Miki.
As for the Santol, crispify some thinly sliced 2x2 sized liempos then set aside. Sautee garlic, onions and siling pangsigang (all minced). Scoop out 1 tbsp of sweet and spicy bottled bagoong and mix it into the sautee. Add 1.5 tbsp of bottled Santol then Add 1.5 tsp sugar, add 200 grams thick cocnut milk (preferably real one not Cocomama). Mix everything and let it simmer to reduce the sauce for about 2 to 3 minutes. Finally, add the crispy liempo. Do a quick stir then serve.
*_what an epic fail adventure!_*
😭😭😭
Jonathan, sorry you lost your backpack and belongings. I hope nothing valuable was in it, besides your underwear 😁. I hope my small contribution can help you get a replacement backpack or underwear which ever is more important. 😛🙂
Jokes aside, the bag indeed had underwear 🤣 besides other stuff hahaha
Thank you for your support again it's for sure a big help ❤️
What a generous soul
If tou cook laing ill teach you how to properly cook it..
pork boiled the pork until tender then put on the garlic is a must, onion(optional) ginger is a must also
Then put on the coconut milk use 2 pieces of coconut some market will press the coconut for you..once you put the coconut milk keep on mixing dont stop until it boiles the reason being is to prevent the coconut milk to solidify put on the laing little by little laing must be submerge under the coconut milk dont mix it.mix it 2 times only coz if you keep on mixing it the itching on the throat happens avoid that once you saw some coconut milk turning into oil at the side of the pan its done.then mix it all scape some of the solid coconut milk under its sweet so it's okay.medium heat(fire) only
I can teach you bicol express also or even that santol in coconut milk
Thank you so much I'm exactly just searching for recipes to recreate the dish at home!!
