I can't say I know much about the history of SNK fighting games, but I remember the first I saw Art of Fighting 3 running, and being blown away by the huge sprites and super-detailed character animation; it looks amazing.
From a gameplay perspective, AOF 3 feels slower-paced and more tactical than other fighting games. Characters have the usual set of special moves, but I found the real power lies in the combo system, thus having to learn various button combinations.
If you enjoy tournament fighters, this is one to consider.

Robert's idle animation is so smooth.
The gameplay is not ecactly my case, but this game looks great, even by today's standards. Art of Fighting 3 has some of the most fluid animations and beautyful detailed stages ever seen in a sprite based 2D fighting game. The zoom effect looks better than in part 1 and 2.
The most Soap opera American names I have ever seen...

This game is beautiful
The original AoF pioneered the zoom-as-fighter-get-closer effect (a bit too extreme) and AoF3 was all about that animation. AoF2 was good but so difficult, haha.
I like Robert's fighting style and Ryo's
When I was a kid and another kid square to me. I straight up do Robert's dancing fighting pose and the other kid got confused AF.
I had no idea this game looked so good.
Anybody tell me please, How can i open the MENU befour you start the game? I mean the MENU where you change the Difficulty Level language and else. I am use the NEO GEO Emulator and dont know how to open this MENU.

No Iori,or other fantastic fighters I noticed 🤷♂️😒why so few?!?
Iori originates on the KOF tournaments, whereas Art of Fighters is another tournament, just like Real bout Fatal fury, where you find Kim,Terry, Joe,blue marry etc… it’s a long story but KOF characters came from different tournaments
