Ingrid fell in love with Rossellini and left Hollywood. Big scandal and she was exiled from US films for about 8 years. And then she made Anastasia, won an Academy Award for it and all was forgiven.
When we change plane in Amsterdam 1992 for LA, i got an older man from Qatar beside me, when i tell him that i was a swede, he told me that he have 5 kids, 4 soons and one daughter and she called Ingrid after ms Bergman because he love her so much
They were incredibly beautiful together. It's strange to see how they only had two films together because Cary and Ingrid have some of the best chemistry on par with Olivia & Errol and the Bogarts.
No they stand alone both had incredible individual beauty.Ingrid Bergman had a face of incredible expression and symmetrical beauty Cary Grant just perfect.
This video is gorgeous ! Ingrid Bergman is a real goddess and Cary Grant... wouaou ! no words to describe...the wonderfull work of the photo director , the light etc and the so sensual and refine kisses of Alfred Hitcock it is still a mystery for me that that man could have created them. that very guy who -after the refusal of his love declaration to Tippi Hedren- sent her at every birhday a little coffin as a present !!! Human as great as perverse...
“There are only seven movie stars in the world whose name alone will induce American bankers to lend money for movie productions, and the only woman on the list is Ingrid Bergman.” -Cary Grant
I meet a older man on a flight from Amsterdam to LA, he was from quatar, and told me that he 4 son and 1 daughter, and her name was Ingrid, because of he adore Ingrid Bergman.
Ha ha I love Cary Grant's glance near the beginning of the video...and his dancing ! :D And Ingrid Bergman is so beautiful ! Thank you for sharing this lovely, romantic tribute. you're such a pro !
I like this compilation of Cary Grant and Ingrid Bergman scenes and the song. Two of my favorite actors. Glad to be now aware of the band Texas. Thanks for sharing
Elle au moins, elle a réussit à faire venir toute l'Amérique en traversant l'Océan Atlantique sur le Constitution. Elle a fait des films où elle embrassait parfaitement cary grant sur le Rocher. Cà s'était vraiment du cinéma.
Try to find her earliest films from the late 30s when she was still in Sweden...there are a few, and there is one German film, too. That one showed up on UA-cam not long ago, but don't remember title. Others: Swedish films- Walpurgis Night, June Night, Only One Night, Swedenhelms, Dollar, The Count of the Old Town American- For Whom the Bell Tolls, Dr. Jeckle & Mr. Hyde, Bells of St Mary's, Spellbound, Joan of Arc, The Inn of the Sixth Happiness, Cactus Flower European- Stromboli, Elena and Her Men, Anastasia, and Ingmar Bergman's Autumn Sonata. She was also in Murder on the Orient Express with a star-studded cast in the early 1970s, I think. My favorites are Notorious & Casablanca
Spellbound is another Alfred Hitchcock movie that stars Ingrid Bergman and Gregory Peck. Brilliant psychological thriller with mysterious dream sequences by Salvador Dali. Released in 1945.
This may seem weird but this video made me think of the two of them in Indiscreet are having an affair or something and in Notorious they're their children and starting a relationship, does that sound a bit weird or is that normal
I'm truly falling in him, this man however he getting older getting hottest and handsome more than.. he's Satch crazy feeling.. Set my standards high.. Cary grant you're a thief
They say that actually our good Archie Leach was in love with Bergman since "Notorious"(where they filmed the legendary long kiss that made an hitus in cinema history back then, for skipping censorship). Correct me if I'm wrong Irene.
+Enrique Sada, I know it sounds incredible, given the amazing chemistry they had in that scene and the entire movie, but apparently they were just very good friends. And they remained so their whole lives. Cary always spoke superlatively about Ingrid and he was her number one defensor when she was banished from Hollywood, after her affair & marriage to Rossellini. As a joke, one who was more in love with Ingrid on that set was Hitchcock himself, who had some wild romantic fantasies about her. Also, another one of Ingrid's suitors was Howard Hughes, who appealed to his friendship with Cary to get a "date" from Ingrid. Also as a joke, when it was speculated in the press that Cary had fallen in love with Ingrid on the set, the entire cast and crew sent a note to the newspaper saying "of course, we're all in love with her." Falling in love with Ingrid and in a reciprocal manner, at least for the duration of the film, happened in another one of Hitchcock's movies, with Gregory Peck, in Spellbound.
@@enriquesada5022 I haven't heard that. She was married, and then got involved in that "scandalous" affair with Roberto Rosselini. Grant was always a loyal friend to her, and accepted an Oscar on her behalf when she was out of the country because of the scandal. Now, he had a passion for Sophia Loren, and proposed to her, but she declined. She was in love with Carlo Ponti.
@@peterfranks6243 I grant you, that both gentlemen are elegant and stylish, but Cary Grant is so exquisite, that no one compares. He is a unique. Just my personal view, but sometimes, we are lucky to have people, who in some way leave their mark in the world - even long after their departure - and I believe Cary Grant is one.

@@peterfranks6243 It seems to me, that men where really men back then. They new what it took, without being vulgar, or trying much to hard. Just with a glance, a way to move, a self esteem and confidence - "you know how to whistle, dont you"? :)
Ingrid bergman and cary grant both were talented and had a good chemistry with each other.should have given more than two movies
