I was imagining standing on that crater peak, waiting for the eruption to flew me away. Must be a crazy experience when I saw the explosion under my feet.
It's been in constant activity like this since the major eruption in 2014. No inhabitants on the island, no destruction, not interesting for the media.
Hello. I wrote many news about this eruption during the last 4 years (last one on 08/09/2018) usign satellite pictures. You just have to check laculturevolcan.blogspot.fr, write "Sangeang Api" in the search bar, sort the results by date, and make a google trad (blog in French). These pictures are great beacause they give an idea about the eruption dynamism (strong strombolian and/or weak vulcanian) but something important is not shown: the lava flow that is ongoing, on the east gully, at the base of the cone.
