Despite his marriages not working out, it sounds like James Caan at least made the effort to be a present dad for his children. Although taking Scott, who was only young at the time, to the Playboy mansion in an attempt to attract the ladies was a bit questionable, even if it wasn't the worst thing that happened within those walls. I've been watching a show called "Secrets Of The Playboy Mansion" and it's been an eye-opener. Haven't heard James Caan's name mentioned (yet!). As a dad, I would have to say James Caan was better than Ryan O'Neal. Ryan ONeal's children have nothing good to say about him. Scott Caan, while admitting that his parents weren't perfect and made mistakes, has plenty of good memories about his dad ("he told me he loved me every day" 😢).
