I am glad that the teachers say that there are difficult days and it is very different from college to classroom. It is true that you need to have a real idea of what you are getting into. I have a degree in ECE but walked away from it because i realized that I enjoy children and teaching i simply did not want to make a career out of t.
Erica McIver As for Careers in ECE, there’s also high turnover in that field too due to the low pay, and sometimes daycare facilities don’t even offer health insurance benefits to their employees even if they’re full time. And your hours can be cut to part time if you were full time and that that means if you had benefits you lose them and then that means possibly getting a second job or going into a whole new field altogether.
I love watching this video! Thanks for sharing! I’m considering either K-12 Special Education or Early Childhood Education.
