The highlighted area looks very good, where the sunrays hit it. I also like the contrast that the leaves create over that light area! Contrast is something I also strive towards, it makes it interesting!
Your paintings are great but, the jumps you make from a Yellow sky to a grey background without any explanation is quite annoying! Would like more full paintings please?
Susan Andrews Hon, you're not going to see a full video on here. Kevin thinks his time is worth $, plus considering paint is not free. You will have to spend $ to see more
Dear Kevin Hill I'm a follower and UA-cam you in your drawing really very wonderful, but could you explain to us about drawing flowers and rules required for severe I need to learn and I will be grateful to you Note I am an Arab and I can not speak English, but a little
MUY ADMIRADO ; SIGUIENDOLO DETENIDAMENTE... PLEASE ALGUNOS VIDEOS PODRIAN SER EN CAMARA LENTA Y MAS ; MAS; MAS PALETA...《RIVILLASAENZ ..MEDELLIN/COL. 》
Very nice comp...great DVD thanks for this ...learned a lot. I can get lost in There...maybe the dry riverbed is a sign of today's environment as we have a water shortage in many areas. Your brushwork is amazing how you formed those rocks...
How do you get your backgrounds so light n fading away? I'm new to painting n think I must have too much paint. I can't seem to get paint to stick on top of other paint beneath too. Probably too much paint? Thx for anyone's input, please
Excepting the most opinions i rather tobe huble and just tell i admire your work a lot, your work is very awesome, your one of my examples to be followed :)
can you do this painting in acrylic? Acrylic is challenging . I like acrylic . I have sever reactions to oil and some of the mediums. water based oils do not work. stop showing off and show us how to paint in acrylic .
+dan50t Hi, hope you don't mind me chiming in...at the end of the painting..the palette May have some oils that have been mixed..tainted and such..and some that are still pure..the mixed oils can be all mixed together ..this will make a grey..This grey can be used for future paintings..mixing it to achieve neutrals..the pure left over along with the grey can be stored in a small plastic container..or even retubed (with the proper supplies), if the grey is dry..you can add some linseed oil after mixing it..hope this helps.
analia karin hi, Kevin has the full unedited version of this painting on his website in DVD format or as a digital download. It's a very good lesson..I have it and learned a lot. Hope this helps..enjoy
thedon008 Lol..acrylics are "crisper," that doesn't even make sense...anyway, yes you can paint Kevin's works with acrylics...just think about it...you can paint anything such as landscapes..seascapes with acrylics..with that being said...first..many have a falicy that oils are toxic and afraid to use them..Kevin's oils are all non toxic...he doesn't use any medium nor oderless turps...stay away from the cads. If you want to paint and have good results you need good acrylics..not the cheap brands..thus the cost of both are the same. With acrylics...in this piece..do a wash like very light grey..then block in your background using transparent colors...acrylics can be used like watercolors and straight from the tube ..thus used like oils. Block in the entire comp with correct values of light and dark...then worrk from there adding layers for details..using transparent colors over opaque if needed..like a glaze. I don't understand why many like acrylics...they are actually a difficult medium to work with...oils are so much better and easier to achieve good results for beginners with practice.
hello Kevin , I love alll your paintings ! I have tried to paint 1 of your paintings and it turned out to be pretty good considering that it was my 3rd painting . I wanted to ask you if I can sell paintings inspired by you . thanks and by the way you are incredibly talented .

Es ist ein Traum -It is a dream
Is this okie to use your techniques with acrylic colors?
+Nguồn Thiên Nhiên Won't work the same. Acrylics are crisper and can't be made translucent easily. Look for some acrylic tutorials.
