I consider myself very fortunate to have driven my lowly Datsun 1200 on this same track as these famous drivers. Alas, the track and wonderful open fields are long gone, covered over by homes and a mall.
Watched many races there when I was younger , only time I raced there was on a motorcycle. Sad to see it gone . P.s. that mall is empty with all the stores recently built around it.
How cool! I was there! I was only few months old. Dad aka Dickie Green was now Resident Engineer for ASTON MARTIN and he drove the DBR1 from Hornburgs to Riverside (my mum was John Wyers secretary!). The two guys with funny hats early in the film Eric Hind is at the right, he came with Salvadori from Feltham, was Aston mechanic. Im the LAST person ever to win at Riverside, was last race of teh day, 2nd wave AFM motorcycle, Won it overall on the line! WestCoastBritishRacing is me
Damn those real estate developers!

Now they have a ghetto mall there.
Plays upbeat music after Weatherly's fatal crash
Yeah the music is intrusive throughout. Weatherly likely died due to not wearing shoulder belts, and window netting wasn't a thing yet.
