Do agree that it is a lovely model! and will be continuing my reviews, though might have to spread them out a bit, not buying quite as many models as I use to heh, but will keep going where I can!
@@GosportRailworks there was over 100 ETH 47’s so hence 581. It actually included over 200 so even some that were 476** were 47/4’s. This then gets confusing even more as there was a group of 47/6’s that were 47/6 not 47/4…..and then there was 37’s…they were just ridiculous when they done their modifications and refurbishments lol. I am tempted to keep an eye out for this set, I love this early (not revised)version of NSE. I like it because of the white around the window frames as it makes it even brighter
Heh it's no wonder I get confused with diesel variants, I might just stick to remembering what class they are at least! Which is easy enough for me. And it's a very nice train pack, the 47 which comes with it is a very nice runner, have seen to pop up now and then on eBay though having a quick look just seems to be someone selling the box only currently.
Hi, the little bird is a Cockney Sparrow which Stratford TMD, in London applied to most of its allocation of loco's, the depot was making alterations to livery for years to make them different, BR blue 47's were most repainted with silver/grey roofs. The areials on the cab roofs were for the NRN radio's in use at the time, now obsolete as GSMR radio's are in use across the NETWORK now.
Cheers for the extra info, there's always all these little details which I'm not the best on, though I'm mostly about my local area however heh But just reading up on the Cockney Sparrow and the Depot, though a shame that it closed down, but nice that they put the logo up on a plaque in the replacement buildings.
Lovely model that is. Please do more reviews.

Just for info, 47581 is a 47/4.
Cheers very much! I'm never all that sure what variant diesels are so I mostly go with how the running number seems, generally it seems to work out!
