Great review of a great model. I really like the new Castigator for my sisters. Espacially the turret is noticably larger then on the old Pradator model, making it an almost believable tank. It looks really great with fitting proportions. The Castigator is also noticably different from the other tanks in the range even though the kit uses the same main hull sprue as on the Immolator and the Exorcist. The pricing is another story - as GW has again added a few quid when compared to the aformentioned Immolator and Exorcists kits.
The Tank looks great but the price is just not happening. I was going to pick up a couple for my Black Templars army because they would fit in nicely but not at this price.
@@countshrubula5997 oh yeah completely. Once the mold is paid its almost all profit, and then there is the price increases too. Furthermore if they brought out that kit today I believe it would be overall cheaper to make despite rising production costs (wages etc). However to add some balance I would say this Castigator is an entirely new sculpt and new sprues. Despite the price I would rather this be a new kit than the sister rhino situation (using old sprues with a single new one).
Imagine how much that plastic Spartan for Horus Heresy will cost... as for the rules I never get why people are excited by arbitrarily assigned rules that are designed to push new model onto players and will probably become nerfed in a year.
First I’ve heard of it as there has been no official announcement from GW so pure speculation. What’s to say it isn’t resin. IF they are making a plastic Spartan it will cost same if not more than the resin and I expect everyone who got excited to buy one. Not necessarily. Plenty of older minis in the AM codex that were buffed. I can think of a few new that have been both buffed and nerfed. Definitely Makari, the Primaris executioner and the castellan come to mind as being nerfed. That’s a good thing though as we want the game to be balanced and its tricky to achieve that now with more units than ever.
@@Sup3rSaiy3n LOL I've spent at least a couple of grand on warhammer every year since the early 90s, but I'm not stupid enough to let GW get away with ripping me off with pisspoor value for money
Having the chassis sit lower on the wheels to represent the armour and weaponry is actually a really nice touch.

You can hot swap the turret weapon, you just have to take the extra few minutes to magnetize them. Said modification is minor at best.

That is a nice tank. Shame with the price and that I don't play sisters. £50 seems like way too much considering the astartes predator is only £30.
The Predator is £37.50 now 😬 but I of course agree, an expensive tank for the size.
@@Sup3rSaiy3n price hike much

Yeah, the price on this, the exorcist and immolater i can hand wave away, but the rhino price is unforgivable.
It’s their church though.
I just started assembling a Sisters of Battle squad and Paragon Warsuits. Only 14 units total but I'm working on an army!
Thanks for the review Saiy3n!
Always love them!!
Just cant wait to see your mini's painted! ;)
Imagine how good primars tanks would look with tracks like this one but no.
I converted an old Predator I had into one. Not as fancy, but it works.
Grateful this tank exists. Sisters collectors had been waiting over 25yrs for models like this. I hope it sells well to improve the range.
What a thicc plastic tank!
I had severe issues getting the turret together properly on this model
part 30 and 33?
Excellent kit sir
I like the look but it makes me laugh that it has 3 heavy bolters like come on wish the slandered preditor could do that
Great model! Very cool 👍🏻
I can get that for less then half on a recast site or 3d printed
Ofcourse, you can also steal it from the shop for "free"... like everything else, buy the way....
Scum
HELLLLOOOOOOOO ahah love it
The model is nice but the pricing is... Also, I don't think they are that good or a must have unit in tabletop game.
I've seen 1 used in tournament play. It got wrecked pretty fast. 9th is not kind to tanks.
@@Keltik0ne Ye, 1 multi melta already wrecked the vehicle.

@@Sup3rSaiy3n according to Valrak's sources which were pretty reliable in the past there will be a plastic spartan. Also, its supposed to be dual kit.
nice, but too pricey, a pass for me
LOL £52? GW have jumped the shark. I'll stick with the chinese from now on.
Sad to hear you cannot afford the hobby and will be supporting China.
