How much of a difference do spike nades make?
@@scalf_ Depending on blast radius around 11.2% at minimum br or around 6.3% at max br
@@scalf_at 45 BR with Hard Launch spikes provide 11.21% extra. 50 BR base is 10.78%. If you get unlucky with 2 barrels that both increase BR and/or a BR masterwork then it's a percent or two less than that. The worst BR you will realistically get is 70 which still gives 8.93% (2nd worst barrel +10, and level 10 BR MW, which you shouldn't do but some people are weird about gold borders like that.) You'd have to deliberately choose the worst barrel of your 2 options to hit 75 so no point considering that as a real situation.

Another reason is that due to the nerf wolfpack rounds got in 3 man scenarios this exact role is actually better than using a ghally and 2 rockets.
What were the details of the nerf?

@@basedcringe9000I stopped using Wolfpack rounds in 3 man scenarios after the chill clip nerf, not activating from wp rounds anymore
@@noble3887 Chill clip had a reverse effect. All the freezing would make the boss' HP bar take less damage lmao. One of the worst rocket perks that UA-camrs ever hyped up with poor testing.
@@basedcringe9000 don’t know how true the whole freezing boss hp is but can tell you from experience chill clip was a good perk with wp rounds, the damage came from shatter and hot swapping and from my experience I never had any issue “freezing a bosses hp”
Very nice. I tried my hardest all weekend during Trials but couldn't get the drop unfortunately (or the PVP Proxy / Impulse / Chain Reaction)

Is a thing assassin/cascade for the short phase bosses?
Any thing will destroy (raid) bosses when more than half the team uses damage supers

Are spikes nades significant to damage. I got all decent rolls this weekend but only a few had spike.
it gives +50% to just the impact damage. It kinda sucks bc it's miles better than any other mag option and it makes or breaks roles.
I think the actual number when the impact and explosiive damage are added is a 9% damage increase.
Tbh the DMG on Oryx looks kind mid or underperforming, but I guess it’s because Precision Weapons are so much more better against Oryx especially, but I still like GLs and I hope there will be one with B&S from a Dungeon/Raid or any other PvE activity, I don’t play Trials

It is, yeah. More important than something like impact casing on rockets
Solo flawless and got this roll to drop for me after some major farming. Looking forward to using it for some crazy damage. Almost got the god pvp roll, too. Spike, instead of proxy. It'll suffice. Lol.
Sooooo nice to see broodweaver here. So underrated. Many many casuals thinking warlock has to be on well and while one is needed all other warlocks should go strand. Needlestorm hits like a truck and thread of ascent allows for insane reloads and dps. Hunters have a strong single super but if they don’t swap to RDM’s then any good broodweaver will easily pass them up
BRO SPEAK THE TRUTH! The DPS potential for Needlestorm is the best in the game! It’s literally the fastest one off super in the game and has some of if not the best damage other then celestial nighthawk!!!
@@NellytheGreat yep. And combined with thread of ascent and necrotics or astrocyte even and you have some insane dps. Everyone is so fixated on Goldie it cracks me up. 99% of those Hunter plays pop the super and expect top dps. The only way you will stay ahead of a broodweaver is by swapping to RDM’s mid dps. Without RDM’s you will behind so fast against a good broodweaver. Hunter is superrrrrr overrated. Plus a lot of the burst is being inflated by heart of the flame from the artifact. People stacking 6 Goldie’s and making people think it’s THAT broken. When in fact the artifact is doing most of the work 🤣

Is spikes really necessary? I got envious and bns but no spikes but I don't wanna keep playing trials 😫
10% increased damage per shot. You won't really notice it in gameplay but it is very well the best mag option. That's up to you.

GL ammo buff outweighs the spike nades nerf and will still be viable 🤷
@@SneakyBeaver honestly didn’t expect you to respond. But since I have your attention, I would like to say that the Envious Assassin nerf will make it less viable than Demolitionist. Cause with Demolitionist, you can use strand grapple + Navigator catalyst. Infinite reload. And warlocks can use the one exotic helmet. They cast super, shoot gl, throw nade, gl, nade repeat. It also works on Rockets.
@@Corndog- the whole point of envious is that you cut out any reload animation and just keep shooting. Nobody in their right mind is going to be using navigator catalyst outside of banner titans esp now in a season where having a riptide on in that slot just gives you free bonus damage and unless you have an abundance of warlocks on a team people are not going to be on needlestorm, either.
Demo isn't bad at all but to say its comparable to envious if it still can load like 18 shots is not a good comparison.
@@SneakyBeaver When I said Demo, I forgot that Strand has a built-in version with Thread of Ascent.
I have a cataphract godroll apart from having slickdraw (100 handling) instead of envious. I still went through all the ammo within the 10 seconds of bns and also had time for my entire super. 2.5 million damage. More damage from Whirling Maelstrom.
I tried farming this this weekend, went flawless and played a shit ton of games afterwards and got a lot of drops and basically all of them were ass. Don’t think I can stomach doing it again
Yh i got a 4/5 with Demo instead of AA. But fuck grinding Trials so It will do for now

Some tips to farm this gl "easily" ?
there is none
only to git gud in trials against 10x times gilded flawless sweats that probably use premium cheats
Play with a three stack of 3kd+ void titans for 22 hours a day and don’t loose a single round only going for confidence cards, 100% win rate or no adepts
Get good at trials, go flawless, then farm a 7 win card
Play Trials and try not to cry 😊
Don’t. Value your sanity. Next best thing to use is koraxis’ distress, it’s easier to obtain if you raid often, and it’s got more ammo than cataphract. It’s your next best option.
