I got those for my son's first birthday party and he is 11 now! I think they were from Amazon but I'm not 100%. Amazon does have the packets of 12x12 scrapbook paper now. I saw them at a Michael's just last week too. I'm sure any hobby store would have them.

Anything will work. I like craft paper or scrapbook paper. Cardstock is too heavy. I've done it with printer paper but it is pretty flimsy.
