I'm from Amarillo, Texas, & I think "New York" Texas toast is a total misnomer! 😁 Pepperidge Farms, Walmart, & several other brands are out there, though. You could use frozen French bread that comes sliced & buttered with garlic - kind of Italian style - & make a French waffle grilled cheese. You'd be all mixed up, but you wouldnt need to slice it. 😂 I think all the cheese brands are good; we love cheese, especially melted. Colby-Jack is our favorite, but this three-cheese combo looks great! I think this recipe looks yummy, & I think my picky-eater hubby will like it, too! I like the bonus ideas, but you sure could use a panini-style hot sandwich press -- smoother surface & much easier to get stuff out. No cheese left behind! I think the gimmick jokes are silly, but they do make laugh, & also make my brain pay more attention. All these qurstions & so much thinking give me a headache, so I really need to lighten up!
