Had to go up against the goat. But in retrospect....not bad. Follows up with "said neo homeboy yous a f**kin agent" the freestyle seen had such prolific battle rappers at the time especially in these years where it was kind of hitting its peak. Looking back there's so many rappers two or three monsters that kept entering those tournaments
someone moved their bowels across your unibrow was a pretty fire bar...haha. Thesaurus is not only hitting with punchlines but he's also stacking the multis like nobody else. This is what it looks like when you battle your homies all the time and have a litany of bars on ice and ready to go at any time.
Thesaurus raised the bar for freestyle rap battles right before that era ended. The entire freestyle battle scene worldwide was emulating Thesaurus' style. There were other important contributors before him: Freestyle Fellowship, Craig G, Mad Skills, Supernatural, Juice, Breez Evahflowin, Eyedea, Jin, Mac Lethal, Swann, Illmaculate. Each one of them evolved the artform, but Thesaurus was the last evolution before the off-the-head freestyle over beats era died.
@@nevedofficial466 He had an album called, "All I Know is That." Aside from that nothing, as far as I know. He kind of dedicated his career to battling, and has done well for himself it appears.
Thesaurus's opponent actually had a nice flow and solid rhymes. I just don't know if his punchlines hit hard enough. Thesaurus took it, but the other dude held his own.
It always make me cringe when I watch this and Prolific says the battle will be interesting as if anyone is interested in Prolific. Nobody watching the battle thought Prolific was good enough to beat Saurus.
1:00 “thats one hell of a mountain climb…”
“YOU AINT THE HIMALYANS” 😂 that was an extremely quick witted rebuttal to give that dude credit
lmfaoooo 😂
agreed
Debatedly the greatest rebuttable OAT
00:50 "Afterbirth of a wacker Murs"
The Saurus is legendary
essential study; the archive of multis coalescing into rap more and more [this happens near the same time as Doom]
Jesus Christ!!..In this format of battling Thesaurus is the best ever!!..I watched a million of these and no one is messing with him at all
YOU AINT THE HIMALAYAS

6:49 illmac biggest saurus fan lmao
You're the man for this
The rapper at @5:40, whose name I think is "Static", sounds just like Eyedea! If you close your eyes, it's hard to distinguish.
His name is Prolific, he was one of the more well known Canadians before the WRC era
Had to come show mr 2 time everything some love. If you don’t have thesaurus on your Mount Rushmore of battle rap then you haven’t done your homework.
Deuce Leader is hilarious. Might not be intentional.
The Saurus 🐐 legendary
1:40 Jey the Nightwing vs The Saurus brought me here...IYKYK

Legendary shit
moodswangz is really good, too bad he had some great competition
I'M SO GLAD THIS ERA IS OVER.
Whatever happened to that 12" on Fat Beats?
Good question. Maybe The Saurus didn't want it? He was never really into making music.
@@thomashill4704Maybe, although I swore bro dropped some music at some point. Or maybe i'm misremembering.

There are 5 opponents in this video.
@@Plusse he meant the marshmallow man clearly.
@@Quincycle - Maybe not so clearly, considering OP said the opponent "had a nice flow".
8:50 omg, what happened to his voice?! :(
anyone know the instrumental in the final round? thank you.
"OHHH GOD"
roflll
The Saurus is cool, but he stole Rabbit's style from 8 Mile. Damn, that rhymed... LOL

Tut got him tho
Tut loses" beecham" praise God
Pretty weak competition honestly. Neo was probably the toughest and that was the first round.
