I got a PlayStation 5 last year of October 2023 from Best Buy as a Birthday gift/ Christmas gift for myself my Birthday is actually in November and I love the console so much couldn't believe how huge it is when I took it out the box I do have the original OG PlayStation 5 not the PlayStation 5 slim but congratulations on finally getting a PlayStation 5.

they still advertising 8k on the box which is clearly false advertising lol in uk retailer box we don't have the 8k on the box anymore but i guess in US it still a thing even pc latest graphics card can't run 8k as of yet.
Im pretty sure it's because they haven't sold all the older consoles with the older boxes yet, atleast here in Canada.

What’s the difference between normal and slim?
The main difference is that the fat PS5 comes with 667GB of usable SSD storage after accounting for system software and other data, while the PS5 slim comes with around 825GB of usable storage- A reasonable upgrade if you ask me, also not including the slimmer size and overall cleaned up design compared to the original. Make your pick.

Basically the differences are just the things you said.
Both consoles are the same but the other one is a tad louder and hotter by like 3-10%.
The pro version is gonna be the one that has actual differences.
I still have my ps4 so I don’t know if I want to buy a disc version however it’s so much cheaper for buying discs instead of games so the extra 70 bucks should be worth it

That’s expensive I still have my original I brought it when it first came out I put that in my living room then I got another for my room and I only paid 350 for from Facebook marketplace with a whole bunch of free games you over paid

Reason for the price being quite high is the fact that I am Canadian. The US Dollar is worth more than the Canadian Dollar, which is why the price is higher than the US price.

@sebastiantywoniak the PS5 does have the hardware to support output at 8K resolutions but Sony have still capped consoles at 4K resolutions it does but it's not recommended so they had taken it off the box because you can stream 8k on youtube or films if you do have a 8k tv.
